When I was a kid we didn't have a big christmass after my grandmother passed away.
Besides all that with the tree and presents one thing I liked one time was a Christmass candle decorated wooden pinwheel thing. I forget exactly what it looked like but all I remember was how cool I thought it was.
I am starting a new Holiday. I appolgize if its not kosher I just have been blogging with this very liberal and sometimes downright evil site who has much anger about the Jewish people and I just cant be quiet about somethings. Sorry. Here is my proposed best Holiday ever!!
I do not support race supremacy or think any race is better than another. We are all human beings. Were not perfect by a long shot but why do we fight so much about our differences when we have humanity as our commonality? I dont know either, it makes no sense to me.
I love Jewish people. I also know that not all Jewish people have G*d in their lives that could be said of any race or religious group. Some are not such good people, but that too could be said of any of us, of any race. To single them out as somehow worse than the rest of us is immoral and unjust.
I think Ill start a , "HUG AND KISS A JEW DAY". Today March 25, 2009 I GL hereby encourage every human being in the world to find a Jewish person and give them a Big and heartfelt kiss and hug today for no reason other than kindness and common good. What a fantatic thing to do for mankind as a whole.
Again if this is in anyway offensive Im sorry, it is meant to be a loving thing not a thoughtless remark. G*d bless you.
My favorite Holiday tradition is going to a mountainside service on Easter morning followed by a fabulous pot luck spread by the church family. I like to buy something new to wear on Easter Sunday for my whole family and the weather is usually spring like and cheerful. I love the contadas and Easter musicals and the pretty bonnets and new shoes everyone wears.
I have cut out the Easter egg hunts in lieu of other more Christ centered activities and absolutely no EASTER BUNNY CAKES!!! Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow.
Christmas and reading Luke 2
[32] A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Hoping that it might snow Christmas eve.
