I just always wondered. What are they looking to fulfill. Many have died trying .I don't think they are looking for Real estate to build a home. At least not Mt. Everest? Also; Be Happy!

Be happy was a sarcastic prelude to the discussion as Mose's had a Hair changing, life changing event with a burning bush? Climbing mountains in that sense does make sense. So climb a mountain if G-d is there to speak?
Shalom Robert.
IMO, they 'mountain climbers' of life are searching to prove that they are the earthly great: 'I am,' to show how fantastic they are within themselves. -OR- They are looking to praise God through their experiencing God, in every place, and aspect on earth. I opted for option two, without the fortitude to go climb mountains. I much preferred my damper path on and under the oceans of earth. Water is softer than rock. Ha.
What I just said boils down to one thing: That depends on what they are trying to prove.
In Messiah, His Shalom, and wisdom. Arley
I watched a documentary on Mt. Everest a while ago, and it seems stupid to me men would risk their lives to climb a mountaim? There has been over 200 deaths, of men trying to reach the summit of Mt, Everest. it facinated me to watch these people risking everything, I suppose searching for a spirtual realm of God, daring to accomplish the impossible, and return alive with a new awareness? There is a precise timing to climbing up and down Mt. Everest. If they stay to long they die, if they get to a point their time runs out they have to turn back before they finish.thats the peculiar thing? Sometimes knowing their time was up they would not return, because they only focused on reaching the top, and they died. Why is that? It defies even human reasoning?
Mountains offer an impressive sight and scenic spot to unwind. Try climbing one and experience the thrill.

dawnzky05, Welcome to the climb. I have climbed 2 or3 mountains. Mt.Shaveno;& Rocky Mountains in which I was trapped in a blizzard in the winter. Not so fun, I say; It can be if common sense is used, and I also climbed /repelled Bolsom chair/ High steel Union construction; Water towers; 40 story towers,Industrial plants;Thats a little bit harder when you have to perform a task alsoat the same time. I was involved in a 28 ft. chemical release, blacked out, & fell on my head underground on steel and concrete. Don't remember much?only That is how I came to this point of speaking to all who listen.( Great introduction for intellectual stimulus?) Jesus restored my mind, body, and soul;(Most of my body)- keeps me humble? Not even believing He existed he lifted me up, and breathed life into me when I fell from the mountain? Interesting scenario? I just realized that; Thank you!
Why do men Climb Mountains?
To get to the other side?
No, no,
that's chickens and roads....my bad.
I have no idea...it must be one of those pesky side-effects of the "y" chromosome.
(Spoken like a true double-x-er.

Actually; It's How come the skeleton didn't climb the mountain? ??? Didn't have enough guts?Did I say I fell on my head?
Again back to this thought of men climbing Mt. Everest. When the time came to return back, some men refused until they completed their destination. It seems the mountain would show what each individual was composed of, seeming to draw the line between good and evil. Some would block the way of others fleeing from the mountain, and some would save others unable to make their own way. Maybe it shows sin; Sometimes people become so imersed in a feeling, or belief, or a goal, or an addiction, or hate, the love of richs that they become imprisoned within that place they cannot break free no matter the cost trying to reach the top, or fulfill their feelings?. Perhaps mountains are a shadow of man's nature, and that is why men become attracted to the climb thinking they will find the meaning , and conclusion of their existence while being seen of others as a conqueror of life itself? In the end I think climbing a mountain doesn't give an answer, but shows us the answer we seek, like money and the things I mentioned do not. I think more it showed us the true nature of imperfection, which brings me back to fact we all have sinned, and no matter what the situation ,we all sin one way or another. Maybe the way to being fulfilled is found in the place that we stand in? .I believe the journey to the mountain sometimes leads to a conclusion; Death and a dead end? Though some men have probably found G-d when they lost thier own ability to survive?I still like mountain climbing! And Love Jesus!
