ummmm Gnostic believe jesus did not have flesh and blood but was just a spirit that look human but ty for all the info.

Thanks sugarman for your correction. Nevertheless, Christ appeared to his disciples in the gnostic Gospels as Rabbi,

In them, His teachings concerning women are questionable in comparison to the accepted New Testament Canon, therefore
not considered true to the entire message of the Word of God.

yes in the Nt jesus a very kind to women in the Gnostic gospels  there jesus says women must become a male to enter heaven.

This is a clear fact that Gnostic gospels hold to a different jesus and The The true Jesus.

I want to fix my errors.

I mean The Gnostic hold to a different jesus then the one taught from the bible
No prob. I just inadvertantly added that little post script (about the gnostics) that was actually taken from one of those websites above
(which one I don't remember) , I just threw it in for the sake of the trinity is my best explanation of including it.

Also I think I hit the wrong button or something, because one of the addresses is for Benedict's book on the church fathers, as advertised on Amazon. I don't think I intended to advertise for Amazon!  Rolleyes

Also there is a good deal of peripheral info. added to the smaller references I was referring to on some of the sites.
When you are persecuted for naming Christ, it bears witness to the truth of the scriptures.  Most of the people in US already
know this, having studied the Christian response commanded by Christ.

This is just proof the world checks us against what we say we believe.

You see where this goes?
According the scriptures there is one of the fathers of the gnostics described in the bible. This is way before any gnostic writings ever began. for Example,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If any studies Simon of Magus (Sorcerer) he is one of the founding fathers of the Gnostic sect.
Acts 8:9 - 22 states, (NKJV),
The Sorcerer’s Profession of Faith
9 But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, 10 to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.” 11 And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time. 12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. 13 Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.
The Sorcerer’s Sin
14 Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
20 But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! 21 You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. 22 Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”
24 Then Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.”
25 So when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
In 2nd John states (NKJV),
Greeting the Elect Lady
1 The Elder,
To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, 2 because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever:
3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you[a] from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
Walk in Christ’s Commandments
4 I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5 And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
Beware of Antichrist Deceivers
7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we[b] do not lose those things we worked for, but that we[c] may receive a full reward.
9 Whoever transgresses[d] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
John’s Farewell Greeting
12 Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
13 The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The gnostic sect was trying to get into the church. Notice in verse 7 it states many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.

gnostic does not believe this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Jude 1:1-4 states,(NIV),
Jude 1
1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,
      To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by[a] Jesus Christ:
2 Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
The sin and doom of Godless men
3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. 4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about[b] long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Notice in verse 4 it states certain men or ungodly people have slipped in among you or wormed their way into your churches.......who are these ungodly people? They are the sect that follow the ways of Simon of Magus, the sorcerer. The gnostic sect.

Also notice that these godless men change the grace of our God into a license for immorality......license of immorality is also "Once Saved always Saved". This fallacy belief isn't biblical.
