This may be the thorniest ground for believers. All have sinned and come short of His glory. We are representing a Sinless Saviour. There is a big difference. The world that is quick to dismiss us as "Self Righteous Holy Rollers" really is not getting the Gospel Message.
We are not sinless, what Y'shua has done for us establishes us with an righteous accounting from God the Father Himself. We are looking to and expecting our final redemption from the Only Righteous One, the Lord Jesus Christ. We in turn suscribe to His guidance and correction through His Holy Spirit.
It is worth fighting for, our faith that is. If the salt loses it's savour wherewith will it be salted? In the Exodus and the promised land, it was the Lord Himself that drew the distinction between the heathen and His children. As much as we like being liked, to follow the Lord never guarantees that people will like you, or that you can enjoy doing things that displease Him just to get along with your acquaintances.
I know everyone prob. realizes this, I am also referencing people within your "christian" circle of friends that may be experiencing more freedom or liberty in areas where you are unsure, or don't feel led to participate.
Kinda like pulling an eye out to let old friends and old habits go, but you know the rest of the story.
