I just want to share a site with you all who might be out of work, or looking to supplement your existing income.
The is a freelance network site. There is a free membership AND and upgrade (for $$) for those looking for work. A fee is taken from any pay you receive. Small percentage.
MANY, MANY FIELDS!!
I am not affiliated with this company (outside of looking for work myself), nor will I get any type of compensation from sharing this site with you. I just heard about it on a news broadcast, signed up for the free service myself, and have made two bids on jobs. (I already work from home, so this would be great for me!)
Not sure about the citizenship/work visa requirements...so don't know if/how this will work for non-US "approved" workers.
Anyway, start here: How Elance works (People looking for freelance work are "Providers", those looking to contract workers are "Businesses")
The payment system seems to be very secure (Escrow accounts).
Just an FYI from me...I know times are hard all over, and look like they are going to get harder.
"Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."
Blessings.
