My divorce made me face this coveting subject.  My jewish Bible illustrates by saying you don't covet lady Diana, cause you can't have her, not possible or some other queen like lady.  But your exwife you know everything about her so it makes you crazy to know she is with someone else.

Paul might have been divorced.  He does not say.  But the topic comes up in Romans 7 and I Corinthians 7.

Paul said he kept all the law except he was coveting in Romans 7, the one heart attitude.  No one else saw it but he knew it.  The law even made it worse somehow.  So he had an internal struggle.  He ended up realizing he needed grace and one law to be overcome by another law in Romans 8.

The pain of divorce can invigorate you spiritually or it can lead to infected spiritual wounds from stumbling.  It is important to take time to be single and whole and avoid rebound relationships as they say in Divorce Care support groups.
I feel for you.

Find something you can get heated about...

...like a Man whose church didn't want to know Him!
Chad,

I'm sorry you've felt this way, and that you had to go through a divorce.  I see you posted this in February.  Could you give us all an update?

God bless you.

Scott
Amazingly my mom and dad are scheduled to be remarried after being divorced over 24 years!

As for me, I am still commited to stay single.

I haven't made it to divorce care recently.

The thing that helps me most is I have my familly of origin and brother an mom  and dad living right here with me.

I have lots of time to study the Bible.  My sisters asked me about girls I like, but I said I have always be a monastic kind of guy anyway and am enjoying being sing.e

1 Cor. 7:27 says "do not seek a woman."

I mean, for those who can handle it it says.
