I tryed posting this earlier, but it hasn't showed up so I'll try again.

Apparently from what I understand, Jews (that don't believe in Jesus) don't believe in a literal hell, spiritual battle for souls, deceiving Satan, angels (am I missing any?). They believe that Satan (as in Job) is a servant of God and whatever God wants done that is evil is used thru Satan and that Satan is an obedient servent? And they proclaim Isaiah 14:12 refers to the King of Babylon and his fall from power. Their Torah doesn't mention the name Lucifer (which means light bearer?). They proclaim our spiritual battle is taken from mythology in good vs. evil.
Help with this because I also can't understand Lucifier/Satan/Devil/and Jesus all referring to morning star/bearing light. I'd like to hear from both believers and nonbelievers because this will help me as to what each believes and why.
Thanks.
Krisi, Shalom.

Your 'other' post is doing well, in 'Theology.'  I post this, so no one will post here, and miss all the neat stuff we are posting, in Theology.

Avast thar, mate's.  Post not here.  Post under 'same name,' in Theology.  Arrrrgggg!

Krisi,

I do think some of your questions were addressed on the other thread. If I may comment;

Jews DO believe in a deceiving satan, just that he is a messenger from Hashem. Hashem tells us he will "test" us.

Jews DO believe in Angels. We just believe they are also "messengers" from Hashem and have no free will.

The rest about "Lucifer" is true. It was a made up name that was added to the bible. The morning star is without any doubt the King of Babylon and I think most xtians will agree. They might "read into" something else, but the passage is quite clear. Read the chapter and you will see for yourself. As a matter of fact, whenever you have a question about a verse, try reading the whole chapter and maybe the one before and after to get a better perspective of what is going on.

I wish you well on your journey!
