Heb.13
[5] Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Israel election is not based on popular vote, but on the party most likely to form cohesive majority coalition.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is a very emotional thing to do, when I feel that praying for that elusive 'peace,' places Jerusalem through even greater hardship, and destruction, before that 'true' peace can be achieved.  I do pray for peace, but simultaneously pray that it be as God 'wills' it be.

This year, 5769, should prove to be full of hardship, and tribulation.

What do you actually want to discuss under this title of Praying for Jerusalem... (for I think it's a discussionforum), or at least the subtitle here is ''what do you want to talk about''

And what does politics has to do with it? In the country where I grew up, also the political system was besed on the party that most likely could form the most chesive majority coalition. In Europe most countries work like that I think.
What do you want to say? Is popular vote better? Is it good or bad for the peace of Jerusalem?

Besides that...
In Hebrew it says more like....  ASK for the peace of Jerusalem.
Meaning besides praying maybe... Do something active to be involved with the people and peace in Jerusalem...
Just praying is an 'easy' way out.

Greetings
The "Hard liners" don't want to give up land, because it never works.
That is all the Muslims want, in additon to Israel to being obliterated.

Actually, I have desired for Turkey to support Israel politically irregardless of the obvious differences in their nations majority religious preference.

The two state solution was introduced many years ago, and when Israel
decided to abide in their land the Muslims started a physical war.

I am putting forth the thought that the true peace will come when Y'shua leads his army to victory at His return. (John's Revelation) It will also begin in the hearts of those that accept Him as Lord.

The presentation of the Gospel  (Almost too Good to be True News)
is that Y'shua has paid our sin debt.

So, Why do the muslims continue to
instigate terrorist acts on non military targets, and fire rockets into
heavily populated areas?

Isn't human life of more value than a piece of ground?

I used to feel like that. Now I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, adding "The peace that only comes through knowing Jesus."
