I've noticed that many people on various website forums, as well as JFJ, do not use the "words" Lord or God in there sentence structure fearing that the use of the these "words" could bring a vain response from the Lord or the use of these "words" would defile the sacredness of his name.

Example: The L-rd or G-D or Y-hoshua or any other variable.

The word of God has been defiled, and dragged in the dirt. Those who were responsible for keeping his Laws were incapable and weak, fully corruptible. Jesus Christ spirit is incorruptible, The Word that is flesh.

The Lord, GOD, who was bieng worshipped. Whose request for sacrifices to pay for the sins of those who were weak. Knew the will of man. He knew how difficult it was going to be to keep Holy Law. This is why he sent himself, The Holy Spirit, to be sacrificed. Worshipping The Spirit that is now inside you, after you have been reborn, teaches you how to become Holy worshipping the Temple where Jesus Christ spirit lives, in your heart. Seak first the Kingdom of heaven, this is where the temple is. Remember, Jesus Christ is Love that lives in your your heart.

Since the Word of God was added to by the priest, prophets, and kings as Revelation has warned. There is a curse on all land, on all people. The defiling of the Word, the perversion, is why there is a curse

When people (HUMANS) speak or communicate regarding there Lord, speak about how great, how powerful, how almighty your LORD is.

Dont fear your Lord will punish you, YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN PUNISHED. THIS IS WHY YOU ARE GUILTY.

Type the words "Lord" or "God" and be excited to communicate your thoughts glorifying Jesus Christ. Glorifying God through rightousness
is what places Him on his throne. Know that what you do in rightousness
in Jesus Christ name is the work that Glorifys God!

Lellis,
from my perspective, I have grown comfortable in using the hyphen in Jewish surroundings.   As Paul says, to the Greek as a Greek, and to the Jew as a Jew.  The name of this site emphasizes the customs and beliefs of "Jews".  So, to abide by a non-offensive means of discourse with Jews, requires (in my opinion),  one to demonstrate and practice politeness and lovingkindness -- in order that the message we are sharing be heard, and sinks in their ears (as it were).

One of the favorite sports of the conquering Vandals was to nail a survivor -- by his privates-- to a sitting log.  Those who didn't bleed to death after having been cut off, would be psychologically subjugated, and never be able to bear up sons for revenge, anyway. This also concerned the priests of Christianity who, in the north, were over-run and suffered...fearing expulsion from the priesthood.  The Church allowed most of those priests who survived -- and who didn't voluntarily undergo castration -- to remain on in some priestly duty.

Strangely enough, there is such a same sort of rabbinically taught and ingrained inner fear of Vandal castration.  This isn't upon their privy, but upon their immortal soul.  It auto over-rides all senses when a person in the Hebrew Community is witnessed to about Yeshua -- especially if the "evangelist" is disrespecting their Divine custom of revering "G-D's NAME" in tract or written form.  It is as if you are asking them to cut off their privates for G-D, placing  shame and a living death upon them away from their parents, their family, their community, their nation.  Or at least, this is the gist of many "Jews" or "Hebrews" in their  emotional response to the Gospel; more especially, if they are immersed deeply in religious observance and doctrines of Ultra-Orthodoxy.

You are correct in the grace and liberty we have in writing without the hyphen to non-Jews and amongst non-Jews.  James 4:12 says that there is only one Lawgiver who is able to save and destroy...and that is Jesus.  But if the custom says, "Don't show your host the bottom of your feet"...or "only use your left hand to hold your fork"...then in that Cambodian or French nobility household, follow the custom that the Gospel of Peace might be well received, and Christ glorified.  He is on the Throne by His own righteousness, not by any work or by-product of any creature or creatures made.

By honoring the reverence, we also honor the people.  By honoring the people, we gain friendship and trust.  Then, when they see that they are NOT LOSING their faith and that of their patriarchs, BUT REGAINING it through Yeshua...we are able to do the greatest thing of all in their own culture.  We are fulfilling the Second Great Commandment in the doing...do you see?  Even as the rabbis preach,

"He who saves the life of even one (Hebrew) soul, is as if he had saved the whole world."

In other words, by saving even one Jewish soul, simply by means of respect -- without even remotely changing the Gospel -- is to be like Christ, who was (at the first) sent not but to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.  Peace to your mind - body - and soul on this matter.  Or in short..."Shalom."
Thank you for that explanation.  I had noticed the difference but I thought that it would have been an affront for a gentile to express words like a Jew to Jews.  But if not, I will be glad to not offend in this way (although it's easy to offend in other ways; I'm trying though).

Grace, mercy and shalom from G-d our Father, and the L-rd Yeshua Messiach.

Did I get that right?
To piggy back what Brianroy said concerning following customs, when it (the custom) is not in direct opposition to the law, or banned by the law (of Moses or otherwise) then we can decide (judge/discern/cut) with good faith what is acceptable. After hearing evidence concerning a matter, one must go to the source of law, G-d, and ask Him what is right. For instance, when Paul wrote to the brothers in Rome, he taught them that “Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way.” Ok, that is simple enough. Even though this passage refers to eating meat offered to idols, the subjects are believers, one weak and one strong. The strong “ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.”
Some translations translate “infirmities” into scruples which in this case means “an uneasy feeling arising from conscience or principle that tends to hinder action.”  Even Paul circumcised Timotheus so as not offend the J-wish Chr-stians. Don’t let this little m-tter get under your skin, knowing th-t they do this out of respect. Be strong my friend.

Shalom,
Chr-s
