People call it a believe
Some call it tolerance
But faith justified a person
By faith we are sanctified
And experience joy
By faith we became
Free from condemnation
Faith gives us assurance and fulfillment
Cos faith without work is dead
Live by faith
Walk by faith
Continue in faith
Do everything by faith
Grow in faith
Demonstrate faith by good works
Combine faith with hope and love.
Faith comes by hearing the word of G*d. The more you hear it the more it sinks in and the more it sinks in the more you have faith. Thank you for your very beautiful poem. Keep the faith by keeping G*ds words in your heart.
A man trying to come up with an idea to make money, while being eco-friendly thought upon a wonderful idea: a CO2 capturing fire-resistant cheese-cloth that you put on your car's tail pipe to clean emissions even more.  It blows up like a balloon, and when it dirties it turns from white to blue.  The slogan would go, "when it turns blue, you're through."

So he worked at the idea until he came up with the product, and even had some gas stations accept his Hazmat receptacles for the tail-pipe CO2 capturing by product.  Within a week, he had successfully sold 2,000 of his product.  By the month's end, it reached 10,000 with 32 local gas stations with Hazmat reciptacles for the blue "used" product.  Then came the glitch, when one day, on local and national TV he beheld dozens of unsatisfied customers, holding up their hands, fingers all bandaged.  He realized he had forgotten to tell them to not change the product on hot tail pipes.

And then he remembered an old verse he had memorized once in Sunday school: "Proverbs 23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom."    "Oooops." he said.
Upon being reminded of a day trip I have written it down and share it with you and my children.
The best legacy I could leave for my children is to know they can trust G*d in heaven above all things! This is the legacy my adopted mother gave to me. I credit her faith for helping to bring me back to G*d in 1998 and I hope this story helps my children, and others, in the same way she helped to restore my faith in G*d. So in the spirit of Patrick Henry I give this to my children as a way of telling them that Jesus is all they need in life, everything else is frill and unnecessary, only salvation through Jesus is mandatory in life!I love you Millie, you rejuvenated my life when you shared yours with me and my family.

I title this one, " The Road to Somewhere" by GL

One day my adopted mother Millie took me and my daughter on a road trip and on that trip I learned to trust G*d again. I really didnt want to spend my entire day off with three old ladies but thats what I did and it turned out to be one of my greatest adventures in life and I am so glad I did not turn them down.

I arrived a Millies and her two sisters where there and they had decided on the spur of the moment to take a road trip into the hills for the day, well thats what they told this captive hostage as I would tease them later, anyway. On the into the hill country, a beautiful drive in the the Sierra Nevadas outside of Auburn, California, I asked these three, all over the age of 70, adventurers where we were heading and the answer I was given was they had decided to go and visit a brother of theirs whom they had not seen in years. Sounds good right? Except in further inquirey I found out they did not know where the town was that he lived in! So I remember clarifying with them that these three old woman had set out to go hundreds of miles to a place they did not know where it was and had never been before. They all confirmed that. I shook my head and asked if any one of these intelligent nomads happened to be carrying a map by any chance. As one sister looked at another smiling each confirming that none of them had brought a map only laughed and said we are putting our trust in G*d to help us get there. I then asked if they wouldnt mind if I prayed for this expedition and again they laughed and consented. I could nothing but sit back and enjoy the trip and hope and pray that we would not get lost or stranded in the middle of no where and could only imagine the troubles we could find ourselves in far away from our home territory. I reminded the old ladies that I only had twenty four hours before I had to be back at work and was assured we would be back well before then and to relax and enjoy the day trip! Easy for them to say!

I was a little reluctant to ask them but finally got up the courage to hear what I suspected and asked them, " Would it be too much trouble to ask you if your brother might be expecting us today?" No answer just giggling and finally, one said, " I didnt call him, did you Vicky?". Vicky said, "No I didnt call him did you Millie?" At which time I said, "Let me get this straight you all decided on a whim to go a visit a brother in a town hundreds of miles away in the mountains of the Sierra Nevadas where youve never been without a map or directions and without knowing where he lives in that town. And if thats not bad enough, no one knows were coming or that we are going to visit him today. Is that correct? Thats correct was the reponse at which time I stated, " Thats it ! my daughter and I are hostages of three seventy year old seniors, most likely senile senior citizens!". One sister reminded me that she had been close to that town years and years ago and had a rough memory of where it was. At that I fluffed a pillow and let everyone know that I had decided that sleeping the rest of the way would be best for my nerves. We all laughed but I also shook my head and said to myself, Ive wasted a day off for this!
Part three of story titled, A Road to Somewhere, by GL/HOPE7
At the time this day trip was borderline annoying me that they could be so nonchalent about safety and traveling and all but over time I realize it was this day that my faith in G*d began to be restored again. Forced to be with them all day I felt G*ds peace and presence and laughed so much my cheeks hurt. I have been on many travels since then but I will never forget the beauty of these three old ladies and the joy they shared at being together and hope they are enjoying each other in heaven too. They taught a very nervous and scared young woman how to live and trust G*d for everything in life. Now I know we are to be responsible but there are times when on a whim you listen to the voice inside  your heart and you trust G*d and that is never ever a road to nowhere! My children dont think that your lives are made up of insignificant self determined swatches of controlled self determinated issues, it is far more than what you think it is, and G*d is in control and you must learn  that no matter what happens, good or bad, to trust G*d to work it out and to bring healing and peace and joy into your life. He loves  you and wants to do just that but if  you dont stop and notice that you are living a life and not just breathing and following the directions you cant possibly let go and let G*d! I let go that day and G*d was in it and I learned to trust Him again all because three old ladies decided to take a day trip to nowhere.

Oops. I left off the middle part..the guts of the story!
Surprisingly we arrived at the town a short three and half hours later and found a nice grassy area to sit down in a schoolyard and have a picnic. I grew to love these ladies as I listened to their life stories and found myself enjoying their company despite my reservations. That and the fact that I was relieved to have arrived in one peice at our desired destination without any bumps or snags. I loved their cooking too. It was old school cooking and the food was so tasty and non-traditional, meaning it was not just balognie sandwiches and chips, but salad and vegetables and homemade pickles and good stuff for the taste buds! I saw a person waling by and Vicky, the youngest of the sisters and the least healthy, she looked the least like the others, she was heavy and pale and they where mostly very thin and olive skinned from outdoor tans from hard yard work and I love Vickys personality esp. Vicky was gregarious and would say the funnies things and if you could get her to laugh you where accomplishing something because it was usually her that made everyone else laugh. Her humor was sometimes not intented but her innocent points of view always amused us and made us laugh. She asked the person passing if they know her brother and when they said they did she asked if they happened to know where he lives and guess what...they did! I just kept saying I cant beleive that this is happening, that you ladies set out without any plans and that you have managed to get to where you needed to go and then most amazingly have found the first person we meet that knows your brother and not just knows him but knows where he lives! This is just unbelievable. But they only giggled and said that G*d watches over them. He must have been because we had a great day and we made it back in one piece before it was dark. PS My Menorrah arrived just now!!! PTL!
