As much as I dislike to prophecise disgrace and caos my thoughts is that a 3rd world war is near and might be even closer than a lot of people think.
If we look around and inform ourselves of what's going on around the globe will find that North-Korea, China and Russia are all considerably improving their military, army and air force respectively. On the other hand, this corresponds as a response to Nato's implementation of a missile base on Poland. Also Russia sending heavy duty amunition to Venexuela and Cuba to be stored can be seen as a strategic plan to surround the western in case of a declared war. We all know how the diplomatic relations between communist regimes and capitalist countries are tense at the moment.
[I hope Barack Obama can sort this out peacefully]
Here's the war setup:
Russia, China, North-Korea, Venezuela (with Cuba's blessing and maybe even Iran getting involved)
VS
U.S.A., U.K., Australia, Israel (perhaps Canada too)
It's sad I know but with all this world economical crisis something has got to give and what better than world wide war.

Our next 'world-war' will be a bit different than WW l and ll, in that, IMO, the whole war part will last less than 30 days (Nuc's don't take long to make a real mess of things). Mop up, afterward, but mostly formalities about who is executed, and who the remnant works for.
I am not sure that China will be a part of the waring factions in WW lll, though. I may be wrong, but me-thinks China is being saved for the really big one called Armageddon. Just a feeling, with no Biblical support.
The only country, IMO, that will be targeted will be U.S.A., unless our being attacked is part of the Magog war on Israel. England and Australia, I think will just be starved out, more than anything. Once America is destroyed, the power of evil can blossom into a real nightmare for those 'left behind' (heh heh, I had to quip that into the post).
Oh, If (repeat, 'IF') the puzzle pieces fit as good as I feel they do, this year of 2009 (Hebrew 5769/70) is going to be a real duzzy! Between our 'Bailing out,' and our 'Stimulousing,' and our 'Blaming/Gaming,' coupled with our Prophesying completioning, not to mention the probable Nucifying of the U.S.A., many people may well be singing a new song, soon.
So......that I do not set any dates.......I will not warn everyone to watch out for the Fall Feasts of God this year. If I am wrong, you all can offer me an old Bronx Jeer. I agree with you Hope, but to hear the conservatives talk, you would think there's only a handful of people who think things are going down the wrong trail. How can so many people be so blind? I think we know. Let's hope the R-word happens soon!

I realy mean the amount of trading in wapons and the media-hype arround it, with the 5 biggest american broadcasting companies having shares in wapon production.
Also the capitalist regimes are closing in around Russia and the far East. And in Afrika the west is suddenly friends with Libia agian and China in Darfur etc. The war is more about Oil. But WW-II was largly about that too.
If Obama is clever, he might deal with Irak better than Bush who lied that there where wapons of mass destruction.

The Weakness of the west according to Japan was after WW-I that the west didn't believe in colonies anymore. So Japan took them during WW-II.
France joined the NATO again, but it's a minor stap. In that sence that if we still think that the western Pharmaceuticall, oil and drugs industry decides where to wage war, those ''trading'' wars soon might be over and also be largely in the hands of Asian companies.
For some Asian, South American an Arab countries might be so mad about how the west created the patentright business after WW-II, and Oil business. So now they might not give a .... about International regulations... And take back from what was stolen.

Unfortunately we all know how the bellic industry has been one of the most profitable of the U.S.A. So what would be the point of producing weapons if not to sell them? This explains why the need of recent wars. This also explains this 'soft' policies that allow people to get permits for weapons.
About the oil I also think you made a valid statement... Just Nasa itself needs as much fuel to launch a shuttle as all of the U.S. uses in a few hours.
