I find it interesting how most rabbis won't hold public debates anymore. Especially with Dr. Brown. Of course if you watch some of his debates you can see why.

The problem with "debates" is the one who is most "eloquent" usually wins. The one who is the better speaker or who is more prepared, not neccessarily the one who is right.
Another problem is that most people have their own beliefs and are just watching to "back" their debater, not necessarily to understand and research the facts.
It is much better if you read the presented facts and then come to your conclusion.
I'm sure there was many a political debater who "won" the debate, but really wasn't good for the position as the other.

I think that what a debate is for to present your facts against others.

Do you think Y'shua was confident in His material when reasoning with
the established religious hieracrchy of His day?

I personally don't think Dr. Brown is eloquent. From what I see the Rabbis have more personality. Not to bash Brown. But I remember one where the Rabbi almost told his side like a story with imagery and stuff.
It's all up to information in the end. Forums like these don't do justice to debates, which I pray will start up again... Dr. Brown lets everyone see most of the debates he has done, the other, you must purchase...

I encourage all to watch them, let the facts run free!

I also recommend that skeptics "ask Dr. Brown" questions on his site or over the phone, he cleared up quite a lot and explained much to me. Hey, you could even try to debate him!
