Why is it frightening?
In Israel different organisations for different reasons do Islamic banking.
It's true that it's more ethicall system according to Halacha, The Jewish Law.
At the other Hand Israeli banks who do it the same way without Muslims can't do it eather totally without western influence.
The whole IMF and stock-/moneymarket is based on an international system where credit and debts end interest will be overruled. So Islamic or Jewish banks can't independently create there own Laws according to religious standards.
This is 1 way how the west after WW-II overruled all kind of other groups, and dictates the world.
I also don't know it the western bankingsystem with all kind off interest and unethicall choices, for example how to pay the Marshall Plan out off patentrights from medicines out of the concentrationcamps. Or the Petro-Dollar that doesn't allow Irak and Iran to trade in Euro's helped nations to rethink the system nowadays.
Don't forget that the U.S.A. stole in 2003 all kind of French and German oilfields in Irak.
Again, this is not a war on Islam. It's a war on ''staying'' in Power, and a war on Oil and drugs, mainly.
