"Thomas let me ask you, would you not be bothered if a Chrsitian group started that ran around, telling everyone that they are Christians, yet Jesus is not the Messiah and G-d,..."
Chayim, those kinds of groups do exist. That is why I took the time to answer what YOU thought was a purely sarcastic, unrealistic question. Yes, it does bother me, because I believe that those groups are influencing people to abandon hope of an eternity in the kingdom of the Messiah. If I believed as you do that there is no life after death, I wouldn't care a hoot.
"Christianity though say Jesus came to replace the laws.....and these laws are of importance to "Jews" so the moment you want to totally throw these laws out the window....you are no longer a Jews!"
If you hear anything I say, I hope you hear that I have nothing to do with any religion that says that Jesus came to replace the laws, and that Jewish believers are to throw the laws out the window. I do NOT believe that. The New Testament does NOT teach that. Jesus said the opposite in Matthew 5:17-19.
"Why if a Jew wants to believe in Jesus...can he not just accept he is becoming a Christian? If you want to remain Jewish, then go study Judaism."
I am not a Jew, so I can't answer directly, but I do know that many Jews who believe in Jesus love their Jewishness, and some were even hounded and persecuted for being Jews, and to flippantly say, "Okay, I'm not Jewish any more," as you request, would be too much. How about saying, "The Orthodox rabbis have got Judaism wrong. Jesus gets Judaism right. I'll follow Jesus, the correct Jew."
I have no interest in Reform Judaism, just as I have no interest in any Christianity that puts men's interpretations above God's word. I am interested in parts of Orthodox Judaism, but am very disappointed in it. If you read the testimonies of Moishe and Ceil Rosen, you will see that before they looked into the New Testament, they had become disillusioned with Orthodox Judaism. Try fixing that problem, if you can, before you get on the case of Jews for Jesus.
