A nominal one like the ones you see takeing a course in miracles or at a Unitarian Universalists church but not a real one who wears body wear Tshirts to Israel.

If we take the term Christian in its original sense, from Acts 11:26, it means a disciple of Jesus. If one is a disciple of Jesus, one would have to believe all that he said, not just some things. I mean, I agree with some of the things Barack Obama says, but I am not his disciple. I agree with some of the things that Buddha said, but I am not his disciple. So, to be a disciple of Jesus, I must and do agree with everything Jesus said. In Matthew 26:63-64, when Jesus was put under oath, he stated that he was the Messiah (Christos in the Greek), and in John 6:69, Peter made the statement that Jesus was the Christ and Jesus approved his statement. Therefore, a Christian must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. You can't be the disciple of someone you believe is a liar.

it is written
1 John 4:1-6
1 Dear friends, don't trust every spirit. On the contrary, test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 Here is how you recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges that Yeshua the one Messiah came as a human being is from God, 3 and every spirit which does not acknowledge Yeshua is not from God - in fact, this is the spirit of the Anti-Messiah. You have heard that he is coming. Well, he's here now, in the world already!
4 You, children, are from God and have overcome the false prophets, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore, they speak from the world's viewpoint; and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God doesn't listen to us. This is how we distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error.

Chayim,
What a brave question!!! I suggest taking this to the one and only True God. Not man!!! But I would suggest as Steadfast has quoted test the spirit. Test and test and test!!! Be patient and discerning!!!
I am praying for you!!!

great question.
"And it came about that for an entire year they met with the church, and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch." (Acts 11:23-26).
Would what the disciples of antioch believed about Jesus be sort of a indication of what designates what a Christian is? Might look into that..
God bless!

IMO&S, NOPE!, NOPE!. Anyone who feels as you describe is fodder for the Anti-Christ. He will say: 'Here I am,' and the people will flock to him like bugs to a night light. There is no half-way-home in what you ask. You believe, He is, to your eternal blessing, or you believe He is not, to your eternal torment.

Wanted to read all your answers, as was thinking of starting a group called Chrsitians against Jesus. I have some great ideas about teaching people that they can believe that Jesus was not the Messiah, and still be Christians! Better Christians!
What do you all think?

I don't think it's not such a good Idea, if you are Jewish.
It's every Jews responsibility to be carefull and you're commanded to strive for Peace first, and if people you can interfear.
What I think is that it's difficult to get Christians against Jesus, for otherwise they don't call themselves christians anymore. the word AGAINST is wrongly placed I think.
According to different rabbi's the opinion is that within the rules of Bnei-Noach, Christians are allowed to have a help/mediator. Jews are not allowed to have something besides God that helps.
So as long as a Christian doesn't believe that Jesus is God, it might be o.k. Messiah is a very difficult question for most Christians actually mean replacement of God. And their are other rules.
So if you are Jewish, ask your rabbi.
(this is also one of the reasons that worshipping Mary could be allowed acc. to Judaism for non-Jews. While most protestants and messianics hate that, wo within that group you might get a new culture clash).
Besides that, I don't know if you know that much about Christianity, if you don't... it's better maybe not to start such a group. Otherwise it sounds like for example an western American who tries to tell to Budists how exactly shape the Budha-statue, and this while Budha himself ordered that no statues should be made from him. So often followers don't do what leaders might mean.
Once I got somebody here on this forum that didn't want to go into history about relationships between Jews and Christians, because didn't know himself about it. Not wrong by itself, but without proof or discussion he wrote that I was speaking nonsence about facts...
It's just 1 example how forums are not the best way to understand people or create new groups, maybe you can find another way.
Greetings.
