I love to read so if you have a review of a book you enjoy or just want to share you top 10 list this is the thread. G*d bless you.
I am reading a book titled, UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN. It is about the cult known as Mormonism. They have so many good qualities but way off the mark when it comes to Biblically sound foundation in G*dly doctrine. To salvage their faith theyd pretty much have to throw it all out and start over if you ask me. Its a book that will make you want to cry for sure.
Some books I have just finished, UNDER HIS WING by Bernie May, Excellent book on trusting G*d. Short stories with faith affirming antedotal messages.
I recommend to all men out there: WILD AT HEART and YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES By John Elderidge. Spelling of last name might be off. I have read you have what it takes and recommend it, to woman as well, if you want to better understand a mans thinking which is quite different than a womans and beneficial to learn. I have only heard good about Wild at heart by the same author so Im less inclined toward that one but if its anything close to the other book it will me equally as marvelous. G*d bless you.
AMERICA TO PRAY? OR NOT TO PRAY? by David Barton

This book has become my most favorite book I have ever read. It is just the kind of book Ive been looking for all my life. I will give you an overview of the back page and it says it all. Quote:
On June 25, 1962 , The Supreme Court first struck down school prayer by prohibiting students from using this simple invocation:" ALMIGHTY GOD, WE ACKNOWLEDGE OUR DEPENDENCE UPON THEE, AND BEG THY BLESSING UPON US, OUR PARENTS, OUR TEACHER, AND OUR COUNTRY." Following this case, the Court began methodically expelling other religious principles; the effect have been evident. Teen pregnancies skyrocketed, Divorce has become all to common place, SAT scores have fallen drastically, Violent crime is sweeping like the black plague epidemic through our society. Indeed this book proves that since the Supreme Courts decision our country is worse off and the statistic are in this book from reliable and documentable sources to back it up. Maybe America we should throw off these activist judges and put back prayer in the school systems. I guarantee your jaws will drop no matter your faith or no faith at all after reading this most excellent book. I give it a 10. I rank it 3rd of my top 10 most favorite books to read.
