Well, I came to a conclusion after studying the arguments of the anti-missionaries for the last 3 months. It's the same old song and dance. They keep pitching the same arguments over and over even though we have clearly refuted them. It's so simple. They keep attacking but they go no where. I wanted to know the truth, so I searched unbiasedly and exposed myself to every argument against Christianity that I could find. And you know what I found?
I found that it's a simple hardness of heart. I believe in Yeshua because every argument against him falls apart when exposed to the light. When brought into the light, there are no presuppositions. That's the problem with anti-missionaries. They go into the argument thinking that they are always in the higher position. But when in the light, there is only God to tell us truth. No Rabbi or Pastor shows the way, but God, through his anointed Messiah sets us free.
I believe, because I have heard every argument against Christianity and its stronghold is still impenetrable
I believe, because there is one thing you can't argue about; changed lives through our testimony as one people of Christ
I believe, because of the love that flows from each new Christian I meet.
I believe, because God has shown me the path of life
I believe, because I have been healed
I believe, because every living word of the Bible points to Christ
I believe, because we as the servants of Christ have been empowered
I believe, because Jesus rose from the dead. ( I am not looking for an argument or discussion, if you want one, go to the thread discussing the resurrection.)
I believe, because God loved me first.
I believe, because in my short 17 years of life, I have seen and heard the power of God.
I believe, because I asked God for answers and he gladly answered.
So I ask you to re-evaluate your position. Sure, you can do your same old song and dance, pitching the same stale arguments against our fortress wall, or you can honestly look, without the aid of others. Ask God to show you the truth.
Peace

To be fair, though, the reason counter missionaries do the "same old
song and dance" is because the missionaries do too.
You claim you refute them, they claim they refute you.
Same old missionary rhetoric, same old counter missionary
responses.
Sheitl Queen, Shalom.
I received this today, and perhaps these words can find your heart, and convince you, and anyone else that we worship the same God, and His only begotten Son. The one Judaism has been rehearsing for 3,500 years:
God Said NO!!
I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, 'No; it's not for me to take away but for you to give it up.'
I asked God to make my handicap whole.
God said, 'No; His Spirit is whole this body is temporary.'
I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, 'No; Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted it is learned.'
I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No. I give you blessings happiness is up to you.'
I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, 'No; suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.'
I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, 'No; you must grow on your own but I will prune you to make you fruitful.'
I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, 'No; I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.'
I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said... 'Ahhhh...! finally you have the idea.'
THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY
May God Bless You,
'To the world you might be one person,
But to one person you just might be the world'
'May the Lord Bless you and keep you,
May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever'
'Good friends are like stars...
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.
Job 5:6-'For misery does not come from the earth, nor does trouble sprout from the ground; 7 but human beings are born to trouble just as sparks fly upward. 8 "As for me, I would seek God, and to God I would commit my cause. 9 He does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number. 10 He gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the fields; 11 he sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety.'
Sincerely and in Messiah's Shalom. Arley
Well, you're partially correct. We do throw the same answers at you, but they do just that. They answer and refute. Just consider what is said. I know I opened my heart to Judaism and I did not find truth in it.
Other than that, new evidence that I have seen on this forum goes un-objected my anti-missionaries because they can't answer! The only place I see anti-missionary activity on this site is on the Isaiah 7 thread and a few other minor threads. Threads like Isaiah 53 have gone unanswered for a long long time now, and every day, new information is being added sealing the deal. I await any challenge based on Isaiah 53 with baited breath. But our real problem deals with how one views these verses.
When you look at the whole "Is Jesus the Messiah?" problem you have to look at each argument individually. The problem is that sometimes you look at an individual problem, but even if you think you may be wrong, you back yourself up with other arguments that have the same result. It's a horrid game of cat and mouse that goes no where until you thoughtfully and critically examine individual problems instead of the overwhelming whole. It's easy to say "Christians are wrong," but it's harder to say they are wrong on this, this, this, this and this," for example.
But I suggest that you first deal with Messianic challenges and THEN theological challenges. We all must answer one question, who is Jesus?
The problem I see is the misunderstandings that each side has for each other. Neither one of us are monsters. The whole of this mess is based on the misconceptions that have evolved for the last thousand years.
I just ask you, please, please just consider what is said, take the challenge of questioning your faith and then search for truth. You will either find truth, or find your faith strengthened. Ask the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob if the Messiah has already come. Do not rely on your own understanding, rely on God's.
A fool finds no pleasure in understanding
but delights in airing his own opinions. Proverbs 18:2
One more thing, Sheitl Queen, I love how polite and understanding you are. I know that was quite random but I've seen your posts and I just wanted to say.
And, I believe we should hold more debates between rabbi's and our christian leaders, like Dr. Micheal L. Brown for example. I've listened to quite a few now, and when they talk, they can address each issue with clarity and a calm attitude. You can find a couple here.

But I digress, may God bless you and your family,

Thank you, that is quite kind of you to say.
Like most everyone else, I get acerbic on occasion,
but I try to avoid it.
And, I believe we should hold more debates between rabbi's and our christian leaders, like Dr. Micheal L. Brown for example.
I'm not much into debating myself, participating or watching it...
neither side is going to change their views, and it can lead to
confrontations that are not necessary.
However, a calm discussion is just that, a discussion.
I don't think that is the same as a "debate", which to
my mind brings up a much more antagonistic image...
It is true that debates may get heated, but that is not what is supposed to happen. In a debate, a topic is selected. No one is allowed to go off on a tangent or make emotional arguments. It is pure fact. One view against another until one cannot answer. Debates force truth out even if one side won't believe it themselves. This is what I've found by watching these debates. Only one view can be correct.
In contrast, on these forums, I find in a thread, information ends to get overlooked. Many people come into the thread without reading throughout the entire thing, which leaves out the argument in question. They repeat the same argument without reading the information that clearly has answered it. You can look through the threads yourself. At this time, when I look at the theological threads, most if not all have been long abandoned by the anti-missionary activity. What I'm trying to get at is that one side is wrong. One must be right. The only way to find out is to be honest and unbiased which is incredibly hard.
For this reason, I watch Dr. Brown's debates with rabbis. I wish more debates would take place, but the rabbis will not debate with him anymore. I encourage all who read this to watch these debates and see what happens. I also encourage you to read about WHY the rabbis wouldn't let Orthodox Jews be in the audience during the debates.
I do find truth in you saying that either side won't change their views. This is correct, because we are all terribly biased. That is why we must bring these topics to an open air debate where truth will come out.
I do like discussing the things we disagree about. It helps us to know what each other believe and why. But discussions will get us no where. We need organization and we need to let truth come out. That is how we can make progress.

What misunderstanding believers?
They have to come to the CROSS like we did. We stunk before the HOLY GOD, they stink but haven't realized it !
There is the KEY!
It doesn't say didly if our parents were believers. That goes for Hebrew or Gentile. The walk is a lonely walk the Prophets took. A follower of men behaviour won't save. Jesus doesn't care how wise you are. There is a way wise to the world but to God it is not His will or way.
I can be wise by investing and building my empire but what did God want me to do. Always 2 ways, man's or God's. You have to obey Jesus and doing so you are doing the will of His Father. Without that you perish.
If Jesus being God couldn't convice them than we are not going to do any better. All you can do is tell them what was given to you.
Point two is many won't make it. It is FACT! BUT ONE DAY THE dead ARE GOING TO BOW BEFORE THE MIGHTY SON OF THE MOST HOLY!
Believe it or not God and His Son want it this way.
JESUS SAID:
Lu:10:21: In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
They want our answers over and over again so they can refute them, it is FUN for them! Don't be fooled. I had a Othodox rabbi tell me he'd crucify Jesus again if he could! If you were a Jew and confessed Yeshua as Lord than you can KISS your life as you knew it GOODBYE. They don't want to lose everthing!
Just pick up your CROSS and watch you worldly life crumble.
JEWISH PRIDE AMONG gentiles keeps them from knowing the Torah-Tanach. They cannot know because the God of Israel has not revealed it to these individuals.Lu:10:22 HE DOESN"T WANT TOO!
Modern Othodox is an authority only on Jewish CURRENT customs but certainly not on ANCIENT PROPHECY. In fact many stumbled on that ROCK from the beginning and perscuted whom GOD SENT.
Ro:1:22 goes back to Lu:24:25
