Here is a video I found that kind of shocked me. I think more pople need to see this... It shows of how the Messianic Jews in Israel are living in the face of hatred, and all they do is show their persecutors more and more love...one must ask...why?

Indeed the first time I saw this video I also was partly shocked.
I can't say that all the Orthodox or Jews do good things.
But it shocked me how this lady tries to overrule Jewish Law with her own western-modern arguements. partly she is right that all humans are somehow a shadow of The Almighty.
But why is the older missionary woman telling that the Orthodox are reacting out of control??? first of all it's partly logicall after a lot of Jews died in WW-II partly because of theology. And Jews should not be baptised, so I would hate it if the Missionaries go so out of control, with their disrespect of not letting Jews stay themselves, and by neglecting the feelings of what Christians did towards Jews. And than they take Jews as a scapegoat...
It's not a lie that I believe that some Messianics are dangerous. Sometimes nice people, but they bring Jews to other phylosophy that God didn't want from us, so it's spiritual dying what they cause, and often taking a Jew away from God, by accepting that the Laws are not needed to be kept, or that Jesus died for sins, etc. It's just destracting Jews from God.
Besides that they go against Israeli statelaw maybe that people are not allowed to be attracted towards conversion to another religion, by giving them money or clothes or other goods, so that seems to me illegal, but often they still do it.
If they do it in their own house it might be better I think, by opening a ''shop'' it's some kind of publicity-stunt, and a public place, so open for arguements.
But to call what they do only love, no thanks, I'm sorry. I had allready to many Christians walking in front of my feet to much, no it's not always love.
I agree that these orthodox can demonstrate in a different way. I have some nice messianic friends, but spiritually they might destract still Jews away from Judaism wich is not love(ly)...
Also Judaism nor Christianity claims that you should tolerate all kind of others believe... If Jews where converted to Islam, most Christians would protest that or not like it, even though the Muslim does it ''out of love only''. So what is the difference?
You see, this is the whole argument. Either Jesus is or is not the messiah. He cannot simply be the messiah of the gentiles. This is not what Jesus claimed. Although that is another debate in itself. Basically, we gentiles want God, not a substitute and we believe that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.
But my purpose in posting this was not only to show persecution but also to show that not all orthodox Jews act like this. They don't! In the same way, all missionaries or Christians are evil or apostate! Please do not judge by the minority... we choose not to.
As for your reply, you have some very inaccurate views of what Christians and messianic Jews believe! We do not believe that the laws do not have to be kept. We keep the law, and The messiah has fulfilled it! Any Christian that says that we do not have to keep the law is a liar. The law is precious and points out our sin. I won't go deeper into this because I'm sure that someone will object, and this is not the thread to do so. I want to keep on track. In response to your reply again, this does not distract Jews from God or take them away from God, they are simply following their Messiah. Please understand our theology! I do not want you to think Christianity is a "gentile religion." In response to love, there is only one truth. You can't have Jesus be the Gentile Messiah, this is a horrible insult to us gentiles. If he is not the Jewish Messiah, you should be trying to tell all gentiles that they have been deceived. The bottom line is if Jesus is the Jewish Messiah or not.
What is the difference? The difference is truth, which can be upheld under any circumstance, and nothing can refute it. Love is the sharing of truth, which is life. It is love because through the efforts of the missionaries, people come into a loving relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All through the Messiah. So, when that guy on the video said that the Jews who believed on Yeshua were happy, I suggest that you investigate that for yourself. Maybe it will lead to truth. God bless.
