Jesus gave very clear instruction on what we must do to be saved.
we must hear the whole message of Gods Word
we must believe it is the Word of Truth
we must repent of our old ways and come before the congreagtion of the righteous for prayerto be offered
we must confess Jesus the Messiah as Lord and Christ the only son of the most high God
we must be babtised fully immersed in water for remission of our old lives symbolically buried in the waters of babtism and raised out of the water a new being ready to receive the Holy Spirit given by God and we must meet weekly to confirm this departure from sin and commit ourselves to Jesus and living our lives according to the will of God by study of His Word and following the commandments He established by the nailing of the Mosaic covenant to the cross at Golgotha and the new covenant established by God when He raised Jesus to life on the third day.Jesus knew His followers werent ready to become His church immediately following His death and resurrection that is why He continued to teach them for forty fays following His resurrection from the dead and at Pentecost following His ascension into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Holy Spirit descended upon His church to lead them into the new age and to follow the new covenant He established by the shedding of His own pure and spotless sacrificial blood and the giving of His mortal body to redeem our souls from hell.
Yes you can be saved. PS I do not like your 86 number though, why dont you drop that number, it has bad connections. Just a suggestion, you can be saved even if the most powerful club in America/or the World has 86ed you even!
Life is hard. Bad things are done by bad people every day and some of their victims are Godly people. It doesnt make any sense sometimes. Someone can be doing all the right things for God and the takes them while others who are vile he allows to continue in their vileness. I do not understand Gods thinking but I do know from his past actions that ALL THINGS WORK FOR SOME GOOD IF WE ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSES.
I have been reading Job lately and you know his friends were not all that bad. They were giving him advice based on the knowledge they had and sitting with him and encouraging him to repent of his sin and to realign his life with G*d. Any good friend would try to bring someone they loved back from the brink. Little did they know that satan had caused these things to happen to a righteous man and that although Job did get angry at God and question him, who wouldnt have, he was human, that G*d still loved Job and Job still loved G*d. I really liked Elihu and his responses. He was the youngest of the men and he was humbled in their presence and he waited patiently to speak but oh when he did it was eloquent and correct. I think Elihu had words for the men of this generation more so than to Job, yet Elihu could not have seen this generation of men and only the Holy Spirit of G*d could use those words these many years later to a generation of corruption and greed and control seeking men.Elihu is like alcohol poured into a wound and Job could not have known it was not for him but for the men of this generation that such things would be said.Elihu, guts he had, and humility. He did his best to draw Job back to G*d, what more could a friend ask for, maybe a tad bit of mercy, a tad bit of faith in Job. None the less I like him best.Elihu did not approve of the others unjustified condemnation of Job. Elihu, though diplomatic, tried to earnestly to absolve Job and lead him into G*ds arms again. What a true friend, didnt like everything he said, but no one ever does, a friend is a friend is a friend regardless of the minor wrong words.
And then the Lord speaks and the very ground shakes and they tremble.( spiritually speaking) His friends are later humbled and come to him with offerings of forgiveness and then Job is to pray for them. Wow. No matter what happens to us in life, no matter who unjust it looks or feels, Our G*d reigns and whatever satan does becomes a bigger part of the master of Heavens plans for our benefit. Our adversary loses no matter what! That is our G*D. Shalom. Thank you Elihu, young man of G*d, for your bravery and your love of G*d, it is inspiring even to today.
Jesus gave very clear instruction on what we must do to be saved.
we must etc, etc, etc...
Whew, sounds like a lot of
work to me.
Actually, getting saved is quite easy and fast. All anyone has to do is to sincerely believe in and call out to Jesus Christ for his free salvation through his precious
blood, and they will receive free, instant salvation and
eternal life that they can
never lose; halleluiah.
It's
that easy.
But of course there will be many who will not believe it is this easy, because they are blind to this
grace and they therefore think that man has to
earn his salvation, etc, and they then misinterpret the Bible as such, as well, something which God
deliberately wrote the Bible in such a way as to cause such a thing in legalists. But as the Bible says when properly discerned and understood, God has chosen the
foolish things of the world to
confound the wise. And
grace,
free salvation, surely does that; halleluiah.
God bless, my friend.
Love, Ruht
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things, and things which are despised hath God chosen; and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are:
That no flesh should glory in his presence.
But OF HIM ARE YE IN CHRIST JESUS, who is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the LORD." - I Corinthians 1:27-31
faith in God without obedience to God is like the salt mentioned in the book of Matthew when the salt has lost its flavor it is useless and is trampled under foot.just as those who refuse to do what Jesus Christ the Messiah has instructed for salvation to hear the Word and to repent of your old ways.how can you become like Christ if you continue to walk in the path of destruction?if you want to walk with Christ in the light as He is in the light you must give up your ways and adopt His ways as your own.He Himself said I AM the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE if anyone is to come after me he must give up his old ways and his old life and follow ME.if we are not obeying Christ we are NOT following Him if we are not following Him we are going down the wrong path.there are only two roads. wide is the road that leads to destruction and many are headed there, narrow is the path that leads to eternal life and few find it.
...how can you become like Christ if you continue to walk in the path of destruction?...
By being born of his Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit. Then you are like him by
nature, not by any of your own human efforts and righteousness. How could the early Christians be good, then, if it is the written word (New Testament; etc.) that makes them good, seeing how the New Testament hadn't been written yet? Same with the men of the pre-Old Testament time?
"For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves. Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts..." - Romans 2:14&15
And everyone who is saved is born of his Spirit (Romans 8:9; etc.); halleluiah.
And one is not in obedience to God if one is going about trying to be righteous through trying to follow written laws, rather than through the
blood of Christ. For by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified (Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16; etc.).
But this is hidden to the natural man.
I ask you: Does God do good by following written rules and laws, or does God do good because he
is good, good on the
inside?
Likewise it must be the same with man, for man to be
truly good; halleluiah. For, which is better and truly good: having the written law, or having the Spirit who wrote the written law
living in your heart.
God bless.
