many things happened after the crucifixion the sky grew black the earth quaked people came out of their graves and praised God,Gods glory departed from the temple and the temple curtain was torn in two then the sign Jesus spoke of happened He was buried in the belly of the earth for three days as Jonah was buried in the belly of a fish for three days then as the fish spat Jonah out so hades spat out the son of God who then went to His disciples and continued to teach until His acension into heaven but it didnt stop there forty days later a mighty rushing wind descended upon His followers and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to teach and do miraculous signs and wonders in the name of Jesus.the reason they were able to do these things in the name of Jesus is because HE chose them to lead His church to be His church and to proclaim His kingdom until His return.we dont get super apostle powers when we receive the Holy Spirit but we do get a direct phone line to God and the line goes both ways so dont be surprised to hear God calling you when you receive His Spirit.
