   I'll pray the Lord's prayer.
I'll read and meditate in God's Word.
I'll give a good testimony from my Master.
I'll remember: I'm God's son, elected, protected, blessed by Him.
I'll be meek and have self-control.
I'll have the Holy Spirit Joy.
I'll seize this day as if Jesus would return today.
   I'll pray unceasingly.
I'll persist in everything I do.
   I'll do it now.
With Jesus Christ I'll overcome everything!
Amen, Rod!
Shalom, Rodrigo.

Hay Thank you for sharing this faith story to us !!!!

From my view

The  Pastors Church !!!

A pastor is an elder but an elder is not always a pastor. A pastor is the shepherd of the local body. The word pastor means shepherd. The responsibilities of a pastor are to teach and guide the local congregation in the things of God.

A pastor provides spiritual direction and pursues a vision for the church. The church's vision is based on the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20. Any vision that distracts the pastor or the church from the Great Commission is not of God.

To be a leader, one must be pursuing a worthy mission so that he may be an example by service and not by directing others only. Jesus provided the method of leadership in Matthew 20:25-28.

The church is not to be like the world around us where a leader lords over those under him. In God’s plan, the leader humbles himself serves the brethren rather than sitting on a pedestal being served by others.

Now only one word to say !!!!!
"A pastor is an elder but an elder is not always a pastor. A pastor is the shepherd of the local body. The word pastor means shepherd. The responsibilities of a pastor are to teach and guide the local congregation in the things of God."

I have another take on it.  I understand an elder to be a supervisor who might minister the word, or might just supervise (I Timothy 5:17).  If an elder that ministers the Word is worthy of double honor, then it follows that some do not minister the Word as regular work.  However, an elder is always to be a pastor (I Peter 5:1-2), that is, to make sure the flock is well provided for.  In the world of sheep, the shepherd (pastor) does not pull up grass and put it into the sheep's mouths, but instead leads the sheep to where they can find their own food.  A pastor is someone who has that spiritual gift (Ephesians 4:11), and he might not be an elder, since one does not wait until he is an elder to receive his spiritual gift.  A pastor is not necessarily the shepherd of a local body, but a shepherd in general that aids the sheep.
