Probably not. In Israel the Jews are divided between the observant Orthodox and the totally non-observant who have no Jewish religious education in their schools whatsoever. I suspect that the 10,000 you have quoted are from the latter group.

I had run into testimonials from jews when that the family found out one of them came a believer in jesus that they sent them to their rabbis.

Yes indeed....which is why we find it so offensive when
Christian ministers start calling themselves "rabbi"..or even
"Messianic" Jews take on the title.....it belittles it.

I can see how that would be offensive.  Much like any one who
claims to be a psychic, or a soothsayer, telling the 'truth' as they see it,
would offend those who follow the LORD.  It is written: doesn't the LORD speak the truth?

I would not have a problem for those deceived souls, were they to repent and turn, having the LORD's truth.   Would you?

I cannot say for certain, but maybe you can clarify.  Being a Rabbi, does it only 'work' if you are Jewish?  Can a man, who believes every word of the teaching in the ordinations, and upholds and supports them, passes all the tests...etc....can such a man be a gentile?  And be called a Rabbi? definitely forsaking all other worship practices...I mean to say...no snake charmers in the temple.

bye for now,
kimberly

Yet you, a Rabbi, come onto our forums for what purpose other than, as sugarman so adequately put it, to hammer us with the grand traditions of men?

I don't understand that comment, really I don't.

rabbi , I believe you earnestly come to present the truth of the G-d of Israel. I believe in your heart you would die for you integrety to believe the truth, as would I . I have learned much from Judaism, and from your responses . I believe we have all grown, through our reasoning.I believe we all have learned! I quit a forum because it didn't allow Judaic comments; only Christian[ talk about bondage?] We all believe in the G-d of Israel; It's just the inbetweens we walk in circles with. I hope it doesn't take another 40 years for us to cross the river of reasoning as when; We all shall know Him!Shalom my friend!
Point reiterating what sugarman made earlier - that Jews who believe in Jesus face stringent opposition from those who profess to follow God via the rabbinic traditions of men. I adduced you, Rabbi Yisreol, as a perfect example of it. that was the crux of what sugarman was getting at. you seemed to have missed it. explanation in a nutshell.
I will make one correction of my statement; Call no man teacher, for G-d  is our teacher! We can only repeat what He has taught us!
Robert you make a very excellent point.  Most of the trouble in this discussion is based on men disagreeing with the statements men have made, the only time there has been peaceful silence is when the LORD speaks to the issue.

May all prayers that bring Him glory, be answered so that men will to remark "Truly he serves the LORD"
