I am a Christian and have a Foster Dad who is very dear to me. I am very close to the family even though it has been close to 29 years since I lived with my parents.
Mom was a believer of God but gave me the I don't want to hear about Jesus look when I first became christian and wanted to share.
Recently a little more than a month ago, I spent time with my foster dad because my mom had died. SO I asked him, "where do you think mom went?" "And I never asked you personally what is your belief?"
He replied "I am not your regular jew. I was raise reading the bible as a child and believe they are only stories. I don't believe in Jesus. And I am sort of a person who believes like they do for Buddah." (I personally am not knowlegeable about Buddah) .
I had several conversations during that visit. (mind you he was sedated the whole time due to the death of his wife of 40 years.)
One of the conversations consisted of him asking questions relating to not knowing answers and not being able to respond to them. " I told him " You are not God", "Only God knows all the answers", You might as well face the fact that you will not always be able to know all the answers because only God has all the answers." He replied, " that is the only answer that makes any sense so far". I thought to myself Oye Vey! he just admitted the fact that God is real.
Anyway, I am wondering, Is there a book or some simple way to minister to him? I am being led to speak more to him, and remembered your ministry from an appearance in the 80's at my church. Calvary chapel.
Any scriptures in the old testament that would be brought to light for the lamen to share with guidance?
Thanks and God Bless
