Quote:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

If you notice in this verse, there is the dark void without any creation, the empty canvas.  Then there is the Eternal God.

When we look at the list of created (non-eternal) things in Genesis 1:1-2 we see a list of three items here:

(1) The heavens, or sky.
"haShamayim".  The voice of the Father spoke over Yeshua at his baptism from the sky.  This is significant.  The sky covers both the water and the land in the creation of life.  Yeshua said that His Father was greater, or higher, than all.

(2) The earth, or the ground.  YHVH as the Son is the promised land, the good land, running with milk and honey to our heart and spirits.  Moses wrote that YHVH was the land in Psalm 90:1-2.  We stand on Yeshua as our basis, our appeal to God is entirely through Him.  He is our inheritance, our land. To legally inherit the land, you must first become an adopted son.

(3) The waters.  Yeshua said that the Holy Spirit is the living water springing up into life eternal, the gushing fountain of refreshment and regeneration to our souls.  It is a river of life to those who take hold of it.

The key to the new creation, and to enjoying nature, is revealed in the first revelation of God's nature in His Word.  It is made clear in the baptism of Yeshua who said it was to "fulfill all righteousness".  This was the revelation of the Triune God who we see in a dim reflection in Genesis 1:1-2.

A painting is a direct reflection of the painter.

Today my family and I enjoyed a morning swimming in Lake Ontario.  We stood on that land, and then dipped into the beautiful water, under the beautiful sky.  This is the arrangement of YHVH the Triune God for our enjoyment of nature.

Please learn to enjoy nature by celebrating it's maker.  This is the key to the new creation -- to stand on Yeshua in firm faith, to drink deep of the living waters, under the glorious sky which covers all.   To have Messiah is to have the water, the land, and the sky.

Quote:
Rain down, you heavens, from above,
      And let the skies pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation,
And let righteousness spring up together.
I, the LORD, have created it.  Isaiah 45:8

P.S. -- I wish I had called that post, "How to enjoy Creation" instead of "How to enjoy Nature".

In Philosophy today, "nature" can be interpreted to mean a mathematically complex, self-generating universe with emergent properties and evolution.

I believe this is a seduction of pride, leading one to deny the Eternal Creator and to enjoy a false reprieve from personal responsibility for going against the conscience in matters of morals.

I apologize to the Creator for not giving my post a better title.
"Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—  saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
