I've been on here just one day and already I don't feel welcome, why? Because this forum is riddled with condescending remarks about posters. If moderating each and every one of the posts is such a hardship, then don't. There are plenty of other techniques to forum moderating that don't involve a censorship-like moderation.

Seriously though, I feel like I'm not wanted here because of the way things are worded all over the board. The whole explanation of the rules comes across as though the person who wrote them has their nose high to the sky. I don't understand why this would be acceptable. Who would want to be here with such an uninviting explanation of the rules? Nevermind the fact that the rules seem very outlandish and extreme, I feel as though I am being punished for being a writer that likes expounding to such a degree that all my points are made clear.

The people who wrote the rules were adding some humor. Forum rules are often very boring so they wanted to lighten things up.

One rule is a word limit. We are hoping for discussion. Most people don't read long papers but if a person puts forth a point, then a discussion can occur in which further points can be brought forth and explored as the discussion progresses.
