What does the sword between the old and new testament symbolize? just curious.

To me it symbolizes the truth of the word of God . and one side is scriptures from the old testament and the other side is the new testament. to me one is the law which we are to follow to the best of our ability and the other is the grace of mercy which catches us up when we stumble in our efforts to keep the commandments.both are the truth from Genesis 3;24 old testament ( to keep the way of the truth ) . To Revelations 19;15 kjv newtestament ( also 19; 21 . )

I think we talk slower because there's not much to hurry about , out here in the bushes . lol . i've read some of your posts and it's good to see the Lord has found you . may his comfort continue with you forever . it's good to be forgiven . i've sinned enough that to try to write it all down would make it a novel. lol . And i type slower than i talk. kind of like a chicken pecking 1 key at a time. yet i received mercy also. so that should be an encouragment to some who may feel they have been too bad to be forgiven . and i only have a g.e.d. so a person doesn't have to be an intellectual to receive Gods promises either . wouldn't it be strange if heaven was only full of college professers . anyway living out in the bushes can make some of us talk too much ,take it easy, bless you in Yeshua .

Indeed the tongue is like a sword with wich we have to be carefull. And The Almighty is Love and Justice.
But because I only believe in 1 promise and 1 Bible (from Genesis till Chronicles II): I ask myself wich of those is the ''Old Testament''? To me our Testament is Law and Grace and Mercy.
So how or in what sence is the New testament so different?

yes shalom yetzirah231 . the Bible I cling to is the kjv. for it is the one i read to come to the belief in God through the Gospel of Jesus.i also believe in the old testament from Genesis to Malachi. i also believe in the old testaments scriptures of mercy and grace. how ever many of the old testaments prophets were persecuted and rejected and when God sent yeshua he taught the people and the leaders the way mercy should be applied along with the other commandments. in his mercy he delivered the woman caught in adultry from the death sentence but he said for her to not do it again.he didn't change the law but gave her one more chance.Jesus said if we keep the commandments (law), we will receive the comforter ( spirit of truth ).every one fails every once in a while and if we ask God for his forgiveness and mercy and confess that YESHUA is the only flesh able to complete the way without sin and that he also needed the Holy Spirit to overcome the world, then we can hope in Gods mercy. so i don't see that the old and new testament is different except peter and paul said not to lay on the gentiles a lot of the laws that seperated the jews apart as a peculiar people set apart from the rest of the world and that the law is taught in the synagogues
