I think the Jews "oppose the message of christ" when that message opposes the Hebrew Bible. Now of course many will say it does not oppose the Hebrew bible, but the Jewish people who know and study Hebrew can tell where the inaccuracys are.
[/quote= Robert]They must have missed Esaias 65:1,2,3,4,5,6,and 7 !Also I believe Verse 8 does say; New wine? It is not Yeshua that opposes the Hebrew Bible, but fulfills it! It is Pharisees and man's inaccuracy  that judge G-d; from fear that they transgress within themselves.Afraid to accept the new from old everlasting thinking they are guarding the past from evil when the evil is within themselves is what they fear! King Ahaz rejected G-d's word through Esaias, of fear he was tempting G-d.It seems to be a habit whenever a prophet is sent from G-d. To reject G-d's word, but Grace endures somehow! Shalom

I am sorry if this will turn out to be a trivial suggestion.

i am Jewish and i live in israel and i believe in Jesus and
i thank him almost every day for the faith he gave me.

i just wanted to share a thought i had regarding debates that
Jews for Jesus have with Jewish people, and especially rabbis.

i think it might be a good idea to think of a Jewish person
who argues eagerly against Jesus as of Paul of Tarsus.

when i do that i suddenly feel humbled and it helps me
not to judge those who try to oppose the message of Christ.
since only Christ knows the heart of people and only he can choose
who is really a believer and who isn't.

as in Paul's case - what seems to us as a classic nonbeliever and a true sinner - is actually one of gods chosen ones.

thank you for reading this
