I' m a doctoral candidate doing my dissertation on "1st Century Christian maturity built on devout Judaism" I thought I'd like to ask some of my Jewish brothers and sisters, to answer a few questions for me to aid in my research.
1. Do you think that Christ really came to establish a new faith that was completely un-Jewish?
2. Would Christ be more pleased if I embrace the same Torah that he fulfilled and embraced?
3. Do you think that the Apostles differences about their mission/great commision and, the law clouded their thinking regarding central focus of the Savior.
4. Christianity employs a wide range of disciplines and doctrines’ whereas Judaism today is only a faint comparison of what it was in the first century; could Jesus be the reason for one or both of these truths?
I thank you in advance for anyone that chooses to answer these questions for me, it would be very helpful.

I'm afraid I don't know how to answer those questions. My Son-in Law, and grandson are both Theologians, so I understand why you ask! It sounds like a text book question that is better left to the encyclopedia. Somewhere it feels like a question presented from the text instead of the heart!, If you need answers to those questions to get an A, I think I would find a new Seminary!, not to be impolite!,but what are you studying to be a doctoral candidate of ? Abstract Theology? Try [Matthew 5;17-19][Matthew 7:13,14]. That works really well in correlating the boundaries of Old and New.Those questions feel lost in translation! I'm sorry, as I am an uneducated man, but my Son-in -Law did tell me I was like talking to a 2 year old. I thanked him![ Matthew 11:25] I hope you find the answer to your question. Have you ever considered asking the Holy Spirit?[Matthew 7:7] That is the telephone number of Heaven! Blessings and answers only for you smcgee, and , Your welcome, In the name of Yehoshua.Robert
I didn't mean to come across harsh, just truthful. Truth doesn't always feel nice , but in the long run endures. My grandson asked me to post a discussion of Anthromorphism whether G-d walked literrally with man in the Garden of Eden, or was it just a allegory to enhance the authors story! The questions you ask are of this same question. Does G-d walk with man, from old into new, and does G-d walk inside men; Of course He does. He even walks in our enemies to carry out His will when we refuse to test Him!You questions answer lies in [ Micah 5:2] , and continues. G-d is then as he is today. just in different men with rhyming Words! Shalom
