I quit listening to Elton John long ago, not because of what he had on the wall of his house, but because of what his songs state openly. However, remember that every hour you spend researching these Satanic issues is another hour you are not doing something else, and I would caution you to not spend too much time in this. Define your purpose in finding out these things, and once your purpose is fulfilled, I suggest you quit.

Thank you so much for your concern. What you say certainly is true. What happened is that about a year ago I stumbled onto a video called 'They Sold Their Souls for Rock n' Roll'. I was an avid music listener and concert-goer at the time, and my whole life for that matter. What I saw on that video blew me away. I could not believe the deception and the lies went so deep. At that time I thought perhaps the performers listed in the documentary were the 'bad ones' but the rest were okay. I found this was not the case. So the research was done in a flurry last October to find out if my whole 500-CD collection had to go. The answer I found was that yes, the whole collection had to go and it did. Since then the blessings have manifested themselves in my life in untold ways. I didn't realize that all of that spiritual poison was actually getting between me and my Heavenly Father. I have since discovered gospel music and have found that Pandora has a pretty good selection of choral as well as performers like Albertina Walker and Mahalia Jackson. My only intent was to share with other people the truth, no matter how unbelievable it may seem. I wanted to provide contemporary examples, because I know without evidence it may seem like an exaggeration. It took quite a long time for my family to believe the information. They are only just now at the point where they have shut off the t.v. and the music. My in-laws refuse to believe it, which saddens me, though I will continue to pray for them. IMO, as children of God, it's our responsibilities to bring the Truth unto this world! Sharing the end-time information is necessary, so more Christ' followers could be enlightened! At the same time, we must be careful with the tricks of the devil, he always mixs a bit a truth with lies, that's just his 101 way taking children of God off the track! As we make research with these information, we must not be deterred by what we see, or what we hear, but only by the Spirit of the Lord, His Words, and praying continuously!

IMO, knowing the history could help us know the way to fit in our current society, not to be conformed by the world, but rather use the Love/Words of God to draw them back and reconcile with the Father! The world is changing everyday, see the kind of e-technology we are in compared with 20 years ago, how much man wouldn't want to accomplish more than that based on human intelligence and imagination!

What if we saw this from another angle? The Bible says that in the last days before the coming of antiChrist that there would be a large falling away. People would be turned aside to fables and to doctrines of devils. How would these things come about? Wouldn't it facilitate the exposure of ideas to almost every person on the planet if you have a nifty tool which beamed them direct into every single household? And on that tool you put things of no value, things which were violent, subversive, destructive and poisonous? Sadly enough often the most subversive things are those which don't seem outright offensive like the horror movies, which many Christians can clearly tell are not for them. The values preached on t.v. are of two people falling in love and waiting until they are 'in love' before having sex. Isn't that sweet?
Or how every girl has her gay best friend? And how terms like 'bible-thumper' and 'Jesus-freak' are used when someone is a Christian. I know of many people who roll their eyes when the word Christian is spoken. Just like pavlov's dogs, we respond to the words and phrases spoken on the t.v. depending on whether we received good or bad feelings afterward. We repeat phrases and mantras handed to us from the t.v. which come straight from hell. Anyone who doesn't think that we repeat the television, remember now annoying people were with 'Alrighty Then' from Jim Carey's movie or the Beavis and Butthead era. And don't even get me started on Cartman from Southpark. We repeat phrases like 'do you own thing', which was actually promoted via a vast pr campaign by John Lennon and Yoko Ono which is the total opposite of what a God-fearing Christian ought to do. And since the era of Harry Potter, Charmed, Dark Angel, Twilight and many many others, the surge in witchcraft seeking teenagers has skyrocketed. Interest in magic and the occult has never seen such prevalence. Plain and simple the industry churns out pure poison.

what about turn off the Internet also? do you know around last time i check 60-70 percent of the time the Net is used for porn but if you do your be hurting alot of christian on goings that use then net just like how christians used the Tv to spread the gospel.
I think the real issue is not turning on or off the tv but teaching our kids it all fantasy nothing real about it. If they understand it all fake they will have more of less chance to be deceive thinking it real and going into occult.

I had seen scary shows or movies before but I can tell you every time I hear God convicting my heart about something I simple do not do it.
There is one crucial difference between television and the internet. Anyone can post their information online, therefore you are able to receive content from Christians and non-Christians. The television however is owned by large corporations that choose what programming is broadcast. There are some exceptions, I'm sure. With regard to that programming, the shows, and movies etc,. there is a vast body of evidence that directly proves the intentions of the writers, actors and directors. Some of them are too horrible to reproduce here, but the ones that come to mind are from famous movie directors who state openly that their position is to mock and ridicule God and Christianity. They refer to the movie-going audience as stupid and gullible. It is not merely a question of violence and sex as content. It is a constant undermining of Christian values and a replacement of what is good for what is bad. The Bible states we are not to call what is good bad and what is bad good. Yet this is what we see on the tube everyday. David made a covenant with his eyes to place no unclean thing before them. We as humans are made in God's image and we ought to have the utmost respect for Him as our Creator. It makes sense to shy away from the entertainers who come under demon possession in their performances. It is hard to justify wanting to watch possessed performers touting storylines filled with divorce, violence, homosexuality, promiscuity, and perversion. The philosophies of these people pervade our society and it is truly a sad thing.
We have entered into the era of e-technology, most things we see, hear, or read are all from internet! Online forum, online friendship, online movie, etc. everthing you need, it can be found from the youtube as well! Everything has its positive/negative effects, but it depends on us to determine which one we shall choose for the benefit of our spirit, body, and soul! Regardless of what may situation may be in life, our faith in God must never be vanished! Only the ones that overcome these things shall inherit the kingdom of God, this is the greatest comfirmation from the Words of God!
