In just the use of Amen twice, before speaking a verse (in John's Gospel), we have the utterances of a Master of master rabbis.  Look at John:

1:51 Hereafter you shall see Heaven open, and the angels of G-D ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.

[In the Garden of Eden, the angels of G-D ascended and descended upon Adam  and his wife.]

3:3   Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of G-D.

[Man was originally “born” into the Kingdom of G-D. The angels viewed this marvelous event of man being literally born of and by G-D (Job 33:4, 27:3; Lam. 4:20, Gen.2:7) from the fabric of Earth  as a “new” thing, and marveled at such in 1:51.  Prior to this descending and ascending rom Adam, they had previously only watched from the great distance of afar, outside the boundaries of this enclosed Universe, viewing the macrocosm of G-D’s Creation (Job 38:4-7, 26:7-9, 22:14,et al).  They saw man in the micro, and man saw them also.]

3:5 Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of G-D.

[In the Garden, water came up out of the ground, in the same manner
or way that blood flows through arteries - veins - capillaries (cf. rivers of Gen. 2:10 as arteries, and Gen. 2:7,6,9 veins and capillaries with water instead of blood) .

At that time, the water in the earth was of a free-flowing and gaseous nature...the earth was heated and glowing under foot from its heat, so that even night had an after-glow of a redness like a hanging sunset, being called ereb/erev or disorder/evening.

Man was formed from this very type of heated fabric…and though the earth has gradually disintegrated from such ability as it had before, the design by example appears to have been retained in the living flesh of  man and animals of  Creation. Rocks, for example, apparently were designed as beams and bones of the earth's crust (as it were) prior to the Fall.

By saying that one cannot enter the Kingdom of G-D without the “Spirit”, this teaches that the Shekinah presence rested upon the paradise of Eden, and that the Kingdom  of the Almighty had descended upon the Garden of Eden.

For it reads in Genesis that the Spirit of G-D moved upon  / hovered / fluttered upon the faces of the waters…and that the waters rose up from the ground to meet Him.  This tells us that G-D bent down the Heavens, and Eden was the place of His throne hovering over the Earth, even as the New Jersualem shall do in the end of the ages.  The waters of the rivers of Eden were therefore, those that flowed from Heaven to Earth, from the very Throne of G-D Himself.

Hence, the restoration of those who would be righteous and holy  unto G-D (as in Revelation 21-22) will find a full restoration of the original state and relationship that Adam our forefather once had with the Almighty at the Creation.]

Shalom.
This scene of history opens with Jesus and His closest disciples at an undisclosed location, at late at night, when most of the world has long since gone to sleep.  To Jesus, known to the Jews as Yeshua of Nazareth, comes one identified only as Nico-demus...chief rabbi of Eretz Israel, one of the 7 elders of the Sanhedrin, and whose reputation is unreproachable among his Pharisaic colleagues.

Jesus (with quiet authority): "Amen, Amen -- I say unto you, Except a man be born-again, he CANNOT SEE the Kingdom of G-D."

Nicodemus (with astonishment):  "How? Can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

Jesus: "Amen, Amen, I say unto you.  Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot ENTER the Kingdom of G-D."

Nicodemus: "How can these things be?"

The word "Amen" in the Hebrew has the same conotation in the Hebrew as an instruction or "halachah" that Nicodemus is to "repent, trust and believe, to be more faithful and truthful, to come to the Right Hand".  Jesus is instructing the master teacher of eretz Israel.  This tells us the sorry state that the Pharisaic leadership of Jerusalem and all Judea had fallen to in the First Century A.D., despite there being a presence of a Holy temple in Jerusalem.

As shown in Isaiah 53:1 in the Isaiah thread on 12/17/06, when one repents and trusts the report {shmua / sh'ma - hence a commanding "report" to which one is to stop, listen intently, and obey concerning, in regard to/ } about Messhiach, there is an apocalypse -- an unveiling, an uncovering -- that occurs: and one sees the ARM of the L-RD manifest in some special and enlightening way.

Therefore, to see Jesus, who is this ARM {v'zeroa} of HASHEM, is to see the Kingdom of G-D.

In regard to water and the Spirit, it is by the Works of moving forward by  Faith (e.g., John 6:29).

Leviticus 14:
By Faith, G-D heals the leper of his leprosy.  The former leper offers sacrifice by way of a mediator with  one of two birds.  The one bird is killed in an earthen vessel with living waters.  The priest then takes the cedar wood (a type of the Cross) with scarlet and hyssop, and the living bird and dips them in the blood of the sacrificial bird.  The Sacrificial bird becomes a type of Christ, and when it flies away, it represents Christ's death upon the Cross, taking away the blemishes and trespasses and sins of the world, once and for all.

After a 7 day separation, the former leper again shaves, but this time, only all the hair upon his head from the neck up.  On the 8th day, he must come and stand in the gates of HASHEM with two male lambs (representing the Father and the Son) and an ewe (a female lamb representing the Holy Spirit) of the first year to offer up as a complete and atoning sacrifice: trespass, sin, and burnt offerings.

[Anti-Christians should take note that all three of these sacrifices are covered by blood coming from sheep.]

And after some more ritual, the former leper is soon to be allowed to ENTER into the Congregation of the Living, into the Communities of Israel, and be able to freely live in Zion as one from among the (living) dead...as one BORN-AGAIN by water and the Spirit, to dwell among the living.  Shalom.

no they are not...jesus is not the messiah... and you guys who call your self jews for jesus arw not jews anymore because traditional Judaism(orthodox, reform and conservative) dont think jesus is the messiah. SO how can you guys call  yourselves Jews?
he is not the messiah. The king will come one day but he has yet to be found and it is not jesus
Reofrmboy,

I recommend, that if you are interested in any kind of search for "emet" or "aleitheia", that you prayerfully consider -check out and go through thoroughly other posts / threads by me, Brianroy... in forum "Theology" -

a) Yeshua Himself to be our walls of righteousness

b) The Voice of HASHEM as Messhiach

c) 7 Messiah Scriptures

d) Yeshua verses in the Tenach

...and from forum "Why I believe" -

a) Because Psalm 11:4 prophesies an incarnation

b) Because Yeshua is the Search of the Law

c)Yeshua is called HASHEM and as David's Lord and Son in the Tenach

And consider this part of Bereishis 18:19 -  "The Way [derek or wide course] of HASHEM, is to do {or the doing of  -- the charity of} Righteousness and Justice."  And how that Righteousness is personalized by the prophets as HASHEM our King and mediator, and not we ourselves, and go from there.  Thanks, and Shalom.
John 14:[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Yea and amen, the way of our wilderness walk and Exodus Christ Jesus the Lord.

Shalom aleichem : )
