The Old Testament is a book about Jesus.
Jesus said, "Moses wrote about me." (John 5:46) Jesus is Jacob's ladder (John 1:51) because he is true God and true man and he reconciled and connected God and man.
On the road to Emmaus, beginning with Moses and all the prophets Jesus explained to his disciples what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)
The pre-incarnate Son said to the Father "Here I am- it is written about me in the scroll- I have come to do your will, O God" (Ps. 40:7)
"And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Hebrews 10:10)
Moses and all the prophets say with one voice "Look the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" And God the Father confirms it with a voice from heaven, "This is my Son whom I love. With him I am well pleased." With that Gid the Father brought together two great Messianic passages. 1) Ps 2:7- You are my Son I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possesion. 2) Isaiah 42:1 Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight. And So God makes clear that the great Messiah King of Psalm 2 and the suffering servant of Isaiah's prophecy are actually one and the same person-Jesus Christ.
