Wow! Snowy Robin! Av YHWH will not forget your labor of love for HIM. Just ignore those hostile Jews who are provoking you they will have their day in judgement. I can relate to that too here in the Philippines but we dont have that kind of ministry nowadays where we could distribute tracts. We are more event oriented people. Think we could revive it distributing tracts, much personal, much intimate. Keep on, your labor is not in vain, you will be included in our prayers.

Jewpoet, do you feel that tracts are as effective as the
"event oriented" approach that you say is common in the
Phillipines? I always wondered if tracts were at all productive
or essentialy a waste of time and if people to peope contact
or events were more efficient....
Im not concerned with the harvest but im much concerned of the seeds planted. The ministry of Lord Yashuah is not just about harvest it's all about planting seeds at all means so... I dont think it's a waste of time, should it?

Sheitl Queen,
Do we expect any different feelings from you? You've made it clear that you're not Messianic. Besides, tracts do help.

To spread our word, Jews For Jesus must go more public than Tracts and hadnouts. We must use television as a secret weapon (of noviolent persuasion). An advertisment can be used to spread the same words as a tract, and the number could be easily remembered.

Television may not be a good idea, especially after anti-JFJ reporter David Sellers interviewed David Brickner again. We'd need David Asman, John Gibson or John Kasich, Alan Colmes, Harris Faulkner, Neil Cavuto, Sheppard Smith, or Neil Cavuto to interview JFJ. Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly I excluded on purpose for a few reasons.

Well, if you are Catholic or a non-Jew handing out
tracts, you gotta admit it seems a little strange
for gentiles to hand out Jews for Jesus tracts to Jews....Smile

Sheitl,
You're anti-goyim.
From my own experience, it depends on what I'm thinking about at the very time I am passing a person handing out tracts.  In the past, I liked going through the display of tracts in our church to read the various kinds.  I think a quiet person would tend to like that better.  I am less likely to take one from a person live, unless I am curious.  Most tract-ers are not out there to scare the fish, as it were, so they simply are offering them.  God bless those who hand them out and those who take them, if even to laugh, because God may make them to laugh for a far different reason later.

Those missionaries among a different people do feel strange, and I don't think that feeling necessarily should ever go away, that they are among a different people, but the love of the gospel compels those individuals to serve in that capacity.  God bless them too.

That  has nothing to do with anything. I am simply interested in
knowing if people have found the distribution of tracts effective
or not. I am of the opinion that they are not- whether regarding
religion, politics, or commercial enterprises. I think one on one
("hands on" if you will) experience is much more beneficial.

I am not anti-anything. It just seems to me a little strange to have
non-Jews involved with Jews for Jesus handing out tracts. It would
seem to be more effective to have Jews doing it. I would say the
same if Mormons were handing out flyers with a Baptist group.
It seems a little odd is what I am saying.

If Mormons were handling out flyers with a Baptist group I would call Fox News.

Sheitl Queen, you can rest assured that Mormons would not be handing out flyers with a Baptist group.  They do not share the like Faith as the non-Jews and Jews involved with Jews for Jesus do.
