I am veteran campaigner with Jews for Jesus in New York City. I have fun on handing out the tracts to people and love to see their reactions with emotions upon our tracts. It really challenges me to witness them -- most are hearing people. I found some deafies on streets. I usually wrote the note pads through communicating with the hearing people and sign in America Sign Language to deafies. My experience is mostly joyful to see people taking tracts from me! Some of them who are jewish hostile beat me up for proclaiming His name to everyone but I rejoice in Lord Y'shua! I also met deaf UJ people. They are friendly and some cold shoulders. Pray for more deaf UJ to seek for Y'shua's truth!
I always enjoy the J4J tracts, they are clever and provoke conversation in a good direction.b
Sometimes I think people are only annoyed by tracts but I am really surprized this year how many people are willing to take and like getting some tracts. I think people don't like the small usual tracts but if they are unusual and relevant to some interest they take em.
for Christmas... the For Your Joy booklet by John Piper was recieved by most people, with a chocolate taped to the cover to "sweeten the deal"

for this Halloween I think it will be "the gospel alphabet" glow in the dark cards, (pppsstt .... Samaritan's purse might send you some if you call and ask nicely thats where I got mine)... they look great and have 26 bible verses in alphabetical order on them... doesn't Hebrew poetry sometimes use alphabetic devices to help learn things? ... another Halloween idea was giving out little small Noah ark boat kits which can be gotten from Answers in geneses... and another was to give out filleres and oat seeds in a little baggie which walk with water with a tract from Institue of Creation Research on them I have atually seen these seeds jump with water once in front fo kids I did a creation demonstration in from of
I think if you take the time to use interesting tracts that are relevant and still have good substance it can be very helpful to people.

Where can I get some of these tracts? Is there any way I can download them off the internet and print them at a print store? I'd like very much to hand them out at my school, which is home to many Jews, and try to help them to the light of Y'shua.

When I distribute the Tracts, I get comments such as, "You're a Catholic!" and, "You're wasting your time!"
If only these people would take the tracts and READ them...
But after doing this for a few months, I have noticed that handing out tracts might not be the best way to try and convert people to our beliefs. I think that standing on a street corner (especially in NYC) trying to wave papers in rushing peoples faces lowers our social status. It is just as good as those guys that stand around trying to hand you a paper that reads, "BUY AT WALLGREENS!!! 40% OFF ALL CLEANING PRODUCTS AND CHOICE CUTS OF BEEF!!!"
I think we need to develope a new method of putting our gospel out there.

Andreea, I hand out tracts in South Africa and they also confuse me with JW's.
To spread our word, Jews For Jesus must go more public than Tracts and hadnouts. We must use television as a secret weapon (of noviolent persuasion). An advertisment can be used to spread the same words as a tract, and the number could be easily remembered.
good idea with television but we might scare people who will think it's some sort of cult and then they will come to destroy us for our differences. That would be bad
