GENEALOGY OF JESUS

The record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the Son of David,
the son of Abraham.
This genealogy follows the paternal line to Joseph, the husband
of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ,
through Solomon and King David.
There are 14 generations in all from Abraham to David.
David to the exile to Babylon, another 14 generations; and
14 generations from the exile to Christ.
MATT. 1:17

Now Jesus himself was 30 years old when he began his
ministery in the 15th year of Tiberias Caesar, [AD 26].
His step-father was Joseph, the son of Jacob.
He was also the grand-son of Heli, Mary's dad.
Mary's genealogy is traced through Nathan to King David;
then to Adam, the son of G-D.
So Jesus' mother and father both can be traced to King David,
putting him in the royal line, and to Adam, giving him his
humanity.
LUKE 3:1-37

We have a conflict between LUKE 3:35 and GENESIS 10:24.
The father of Shelah is Arphaxad and not Canaan.
Since GENESIS is from the Masoretic Text it is the inspired Word
of G-D. We have to determine what text LUKE was copied.
This would only affect Mary's line since her line goes all the way
to Adam.

Further proof:
THE SEMITES
...SHEM was the ancester of ALL the sons of EBER.
ARPHAXAD was the father of SHELAH, and SHELAH the father
of EBER.
GENESIS 10:21; 24

The spurious SEPTUAGINT reads "father of CAINAN, and
CAINAN was the father of ...

l CHRONICLES 1:13- 27

Canaan was the father of Sidon his first born, and of the
Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, Hivites, Arkites,
Sinites, Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

The sons of Shem:
Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
The sons of Aram:
  Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah the father of Eber.

Eber had 2 sons; Peleg (divided), and Joktan.

Joktan's sons:
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal,
Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah
and Jobab.

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah, Eber, Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor,
Terah and Abram (i.e. Abraham)

ANNE WROTE:

To steal away at night when they took down Your body
With love and tears to leave You in a borrowed grave
To go with Mary to the place they laid You
Where they laid You Jesus
And in the morning find the stone was rolled away

    When Love Died

       Somewhere along the way,
You were pulled up by the root.
And you sought your escape,
In the spirit of the fruit.
But the demons of lust,
Took over your broken soul.
And your love was exchanged,
For a fiery hot coal
Your hand is always reaching
But only deep inside.
You have lost your dignity,
And you have lost your pride.
But there came a bronzed Light,
From beyond the cold grave.
Expressing God’s deepest Love,
Your mortal soul to save.
You’re a tale of the living dead,
Now your story can simply be told.
This is what happened when Love died,
And the earth became, so bitter cold!

I think of King David repenting when Nathan the
Prophet rebukes him after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
He was a man after G-D’s own heart yet had her husband, Uriah the Hittite killed. This added murder
to his crime of adultery.
After this time “the sword never departed from his house.” There followed the outrage of his daughter Tamar, by his eldest son, Amnon, and his subsequent murder by the servants of Absalom, his third son.
Absalom’s army was defeated in the wood of Ephraim.
He was killed by Joab when left hanging by his long locks in a tree.
David AM 3104 (BC 948) to AM 3144 (BC 908).
Psalm 51:
“… V.7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones
You have broken may rejoice.”
[Here David is referring to the Pesach Lamb where hyssop, (a lowly plant growing out of a wall), is used
to apply the blood of the Paschal Lamb to the lentil
and the two doorposts. (Incidentally, forming a cross)
Jesus’ bones were never broken as they should have been, as he had already died of a broken heart.
As long as one stayed in his house “under the blood”
the first-born were spared.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, take eat; this is my body. [Unleavened Bread; Jesus’ sinless body]
[MATT. 26:26-28]; And He took the cup (Elijah’s Cup),
and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying “drink ye all of it; for this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

Wine is a symbol of Jesus’ blood and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus received sour wine on hyssop, a sign of the
departing of the Holy Ghost and the turning away of
the Face of the Father.

V.10 Create in me a clean heart, O G-D, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

V.12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by your generous Spirit.

V.14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O G-D
The G-D of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

V.15 O Lord, open my lips and my mouth shall show forth Thy praise.

V.16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. [Jesus, the Paschal Lamb was a whole burnt offering.]

V.17 The sacrifices of G-D are a broken spirit,
A broken and contrite heart-
These, O G-D, You will not despise.

Hi, Ray. Yes, the story of David never gets old. He was an indulgent father. He never dealt with Tamar's rape, which was grossly unfair to her and enraged Absolom, opening a whole nother can of worms. And although there were warnings in scripture against taking too many wives, he married a passel of them, which contributed to his problems. And then there was the matter of the murder and adultery. So the sword never departed from his house. And yet he remained all his life a man after God's own heart. So ironic! Can't quite get my head around it.

I've read about the hyssop a thousand times, but never understood what it meant: that's it a reference to the Passover Lamb, a foreshadow of Jesus. Wow! That is so awesome!

I have prayed Psalm 51 over and over throughout the years. You don't have to commit the sins of David to be a sinner in need of a Savior. "Against You and You only have I sinned." I believe as the time of The End approaches, God is calling His people to all humity. This is a good place to start.

I am praying Numbers 6:24-26 for you!
Anne
For Ray and anyone else who wants to chime in:

I'm studying Ezekiel; just love this book. I was prompted by an article I read by Dr. David Reagan (who is pre-trib, which I am most decidedly not, but that's beside the point).

According to Reagan, in 1517 when the Turks conquered Jerusalem under Suleiman "the Magnificent" (one can't help but suspect that to be a title of his own choosing), he commanded that the city's ancient walls be rebuilt, but he specifically ordered that the Eastern Gate be sealed with stones.

Historians don't know for certain why he had the Gate closed, but one of the most compelling of the many legends is that the rabbis described Messiah as a great military leader who would enter the Eastern Gate and liberate the city from foreign control. Sulieman decided to put an end to Jewish hopes by ordering the Eastern Gate sealed. He even put a Muslim cemetery in front of the Gate.

Fast forward to 1967 and the Sx Day War. According to Reagan, after breaking through the Lion's Gate on June 7th and returning control of Jerusalem to the Jewish people for the first time in nearly 2000 years, some members of the Jewish command group wanted to blow open the Eastern Gate. But the leader of the group, an Orthodox Jew, said that the Eastern Gate can only be opened when Messiah comes. It remains closed to this day.

Okay, here's the really cool part: Ezekiel 10:19 describes the vision of the Glory leaving the temple by the East Gate. Then in Ezekiel 44 he prophecied that the Eastern Gate would be sealed, to be opened by the Messiah, who will enter the same gate through which the Glory left. Little did "the Magnificent" know that he was actually fulfilling Jewish prophecy! (As if stones and mortar could shut out the King of kings!)

My study of history is a bit sketchy here. Is this accurate? And there have to be some other significant details that add to this. What am I missing?

Blessings & peace,
Anne

Now Sarah, Abraham's wife died at the age of 127 years. She was
born AM 1958 (BC 2094) + 127 = AM 2085 (BC 1967). GEN 23.
It was in the year BC 1967 that Abraham bought the field of Ephron
which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field and the
cave which were in it, and all the trees that were in the field, which
were within all the surrounding borders, were deeded to Abraham as
a possession in the presence of the sons of Heth, before all who went
in at the gate of his city.
V,19 And after this Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the
field of Machpelah, before Mamre (that is Hebron) in the land of
Canaan. Abraham weighed out 400 shekels of silver.
Now Abraham was a stranger in the land, a foreigner and a visiter, and
the only land he owned.
Later on in BC 1929, 38 years later it became Abraham's resting place.

THE LIBERATION OF HEBRON AD 1967

The 1ST Jew to enter the “Cave of Machpelah,” was Chief Rabbi,
the late Major General, Shlomo Goren; Israel Defense Forces.
There is a Mosque over the site erected 700 years ago by the
Mamelukes who conquered Hebron; AD 1291 – AD 1516.
Jews were not allowed past the 7TH Step of an outside staircase.
There are 3 rooms; Ohel Avraham, Ohel Yitzhak, and Ohel Ya’akov.
Jews have no access to Ohel Yitzhak, the largest room with the
exception of 10 days/year.
Hebron was liberated in AD 1967 but the Mosque is still run by
Muslim Waqf Religious Trust; Tomb of the Patriarchs.
