wstruse, you are getting more accurate, you have Antiochus IV at
BC 163, when it is actually AM 3970 (BC 82), you are only 81 years
in error instead of the usual 112 years.
I suggest you use the Bible Chronology written by Levites instead of
erronius kings lists. Secular chronologies destroy the Bibical prophecies.

   Isaac Newton in his Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended ( p.357), states the following concerning the missing years of the Jewish chronology:

"Some of them took Herod for the Messiah, and hence were called Herodians,"  .....They seem to have grounded their opinion on the 70 weeks, which they reckoned from the 1st year of Cyrus (!).  But afterwards, in applying the prophecy to Theudas, and Judas of Galilee. and at length to Bar Cochab, they seem to have shortened the reign of the Kingdom of Persia."

If they calculated the 70 Weeks of Daniel from the 1st year of Cyrus,
they start off with an error of 49 years.
Fall of Jerusalem AM 3578 (BC 474) + 49 yrs (7 weeks) = Cyrus AM 3627(BC 424). In reality we have a 3 part prophecy: 7 weeks; 62 weeks;
1 week.
It is 7 weeks (49 years) from the fall of Jerusalem to Cyrus' decree.
It is 1 year to the 2nd year of Cyrus and the foundation laid.
It is 62 weeks (434 years from the completed Temple (the end of the
70 year Babylonian captivity) to Calvary (the cutting off of the Messiah.)

So AM 3627 + 1 + 20 = AM 3648 (End of Captivity) + 434 years =
Calvary. There remains the 70th week or the 7 year Tribulation period,
which will bring in the "Second Coming."
"Immediately after the Tribulation of those days..."

It is interesting that Daniel went to Babylon in AM 3558 (BC 494) +
70 Weeks (490 years) = AM 4048 (BC 4); the birth of Jesus.

And they offered sacrifices at the dedication of this house of God, 100 bulls, 200 rams,
400 lambs, and as a sin offering for all Israel 12 male goats, according to the number of tribes of Israel….

It is interesting that 400 lambs were offered and it was 400 years to the birth of Christ; “The Inheritor.”

   THE EXTRA 100 YEARS IN CHRONOLOGY

Greetings Wstruse, I think I found the extra 100 years. It looks like
they were in Judges.

The G-D of the people of Israel chose our fathers; he made the people prosper.
During their stay in Egypt, with mighty power He led them out of that country.

Joseph born AM 2200 (BC 1852) + 18 years = AM 2218 (BC 1834), sold to
Egyptians. AM 2218 + 450 years = AM 2668 (BC 1384}, the Exodus.

He endured their conduct for about 40 years in the desert. He overthrew 7 nations
in Canaan and gave their land as their inheritance. All this took about 450 years.  

AFTER this G-D gave them Judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.
Then the people asked for a king, and G-D gave them Saul son of Kish, of the
Tribe of Benjamin, who ruled 40 years. After removing Saul they made David their
King.
[ACTS 13: 16-22]

In the NKJV, ACTS 13: 20, it reads: “After that He gave them judges for about
450 years, until Samuel the prophet.” This is misleading, as He gave them Judges
for 350 years. This is probably the extra 100 years running through the secular chronologies.

Exodus AM 2668 + 40 years = AM 2708 Jericho. From AM 2708 + 6 years were the
7 nations overthrown, AM 2714 JUDGES + 350 years = AM 3064 – AM 3104 (BC 988)
- (BC 948) King Saul.
Samuel The Prophet  (40 years) AM 3064 – AM 3104 (BC 988 – BC 948). Judged 40 years during the reign of Saul.
David (40 years) AM 3104 – AM 3144 (BC 948 – BC 908).
