This occurred to me while I was studying Daniel:
Daniel's condemnation to the lion's den
foreshadowed the trial, the burial and ressurection of Jesus, the Christ.
Daniel accused of usurping the King's authority.
Jesus accused of usurping Cesar's authority.
King Darius did not believe Daniel to be worthy of punishment.
Pilate did not believe Jesus to be worthy of punishment.
Daniel put into a cave secured with a great stone and sealed by the King.
Jesus put into a tomb secured with a great stone and ordered sealed by Pilate.
Daniel delivered from the Lion's Den!
Jesus delivered from the grave!
