Nothing funny here. Cults never are. Cults always deny Christ in one way or another, claiming various things but always denying the Person and work of the Lord Jesus. Cults feel free to exercise a kind of superknowledge/replacement over what scripture says. And like a shell game, cults always cheat their followers. Attempts at re-fashioning Him into something else, something less than God, and denying the reality of His bodily resurrection can only be the actions of cultist.

The Pastor of my church has included this man in a few of his recent sermons...He showed us some news clips from CNN etc. about his folowers getting tatoos with 666 or sss on their ancle or neck down in Florida even making the tatoo artist feel uncomfortable and praying for divine protection....
How do these people get so deceived???? It seems to me that even the most ignorant people would know better than this..

Simple Bible ignorance can be a facilitator. But sometimes people go through a bad time--an undefined fear or dread, a divorce, death of a loved one, job loss, a chronic or mismanaged physical illness, any dramatic change of life--can made one susceptible to the sway of a strong personality. Such susceptibility can make a person think, well, I can't do any worse by listening to this. Anyone who can master the perception "I know what to do, I know more in spiritual matters than God Himself" or claims to have a esoteric understanding of same.
Or, sometimes people (old or young) feel frustrated and bored with their lives and strike out to find something they can experience. Some may join a group thinking it is a lark but come under the influence of a dangerous liar. From a Christian's perspective, a leader of this type is as dangerous to the soul as your typical drug running, drive by shooting, prostitution operating gang leader, whose organization thrives on new recruits and thereafter holds complete control over their lives. That is why a ridiculous example like this should not be laughed at for too long; consider the peril of the path of his albeit small following.

I think it is funny...
But he won't when he wakes in the resurrection. The reason I say it is funny is the same reason that misylea stated..."It seems to me that even the most ignorant people would know better than this.."

Well, then think of it from this perspective:
If God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezek 33:11), why should we? And if someone is hellbound, why dance a jig of glee as opposed to having genuine concern for the persons in peril of falling under the influence?
I have a theory about those who derisively speculate about those who will awake to eternal damnation, actually two: that their own faith message is not that compelling, so this is their resort; and that they are unaware of their own peril.
You know, Job had friends who gave him very informed opinions about who was ignorant and who was not. But God, after dealing with Job's own ignorance, then had Job pray for his friends.
We are all born ignorant and need to repent. And once we have learned of God and repented, we must remember it was not our great intellect that saved us, but the mercy of God by Christ Jesus, who died for our sins and was raised bodily. Did our knowledge achieve that? For all the emphasis on obedience, here is an opportunity to obey: scripture says that genuine believers are to help the weak. Laughing at the deceived is not the faith in action.
This is:
Jude 1 - 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

I never said anything about "hell"...I don't believe in eternal damnation. Neither do I have pleasure that anyone should die. After all, I myself will die. Why I think it is funny eludes you, be that as it may, I still have concern for anyone so far from reason.
It is funny because Y'shua was Jewish and without sin...to think of him of him as the person of Jose' Miranda is just plain funny. You figure it out.

How come the rich man went to "Hell" or "Hades", and Lazarus went to Abraham's bosom? one_called, even non-Messianic Jews believe in Hell if they practice Judaism.

Actually, JM is claiming that he and his group are "antichrists". But that is beside the point. And I think my point was missed entirely. Note that I first said that cults are never funny. Whether you think a person faces eternal damnation in hell or some other disposition is also beside the point; although I would point out that you have devoted posts to distance yourself from JWs, but you readily agree with them on this teaching of "no hell", in contradiction of the teaching of Jesus, Who, being without sin (as you agree yourself), cannot lie.
Though this was a current events posting, it models the cultist mindset in its denial of the words of Jesus Christ, and its blindness to that peril.

I assure you that the translation of "hell" is also being taken by most as literal when in fact it is figurative. Y'shua spoke in figurative language. Hell is nothing more than the common grave of mankind. Whether the JW's are a cult or believe the same thing is of no consequence. Y'shua taught resurrection. I think you would do well to study up on what that whole subject entails.
