What is a true devotion to YHWH? It is getting in touch with HIM, it is not just translating HA TANAKH. Sometime we are much focused in HIS words and not in HIS presence. We tend to fill our mind with the words of TANAKH but not our hearts of HIS Presence.
I am not against TANAKH nor the readings of it every fellowship but sometimes we forget that we cannot constrained HIM in Ha TANAKH. When Melekh Dawid said, "...the earth is filled of HIS GLORY" he means it. The whole beauty of this world speaks of HIS Kavod. The trees, grand mountain ranges, great rivers, the millions of species alive and a whole lot more speaks of HIS Kavod. The wickedness we see speaks of a departed Kavod. That is a true devotion on YHWH, listening to HIM every moment of our life. He has been talking to us every event unfolding, every momentary image you see and perceive. But sometimes we are not paying attention. We are more engrossed in the translation of our differences wether we are walking in the HALKAHA or not. Following the law and THE LAW or not, reciting a Siddur in the erev or not. We are more on the rituals and not on actual experiences of HIM. As creation or children of the THE ALMIGHTY Av YHWH we are supposed to be in touch with HIM in person just like The Great Nevi Moshe, Melekh Dawid, Nevi Yeshayahu and the rest of our great people of reknown. Some of them are not theological experts but lived in the nearness YHWH, why is that?
Most of our gatherings nowadays are more on the BOOK not the Author of the Book. We are so expert in quoting verses and translating them. The question is, have you experience HIM in your daily life? Do you hear HIM talking to you everyday? If not, then your just like a beautiful scroll with no content.
We may not be like Nevi Moshe that put the river Jordan assunder and talks to Av YHWH in facie but in our daily life, the smile you give to a distress soul, the water and food you shared to the hungry, an encouragement you give to a depressed brother or sister that is your in touch to the Almighty. We have more religion but not the devotion.
What matters most in this life is not your religion nor your inclination to ones organization but your relationship to HaELOHIM. I may sound hypocrite telling you this thing if i havent experienced HIS PRESENCE and may AV YHWH deals with me be it so severely if im lying... I am confident in telling you this because HE is my father, my friend and my everything. Shalom!
