We have been the guests of some very dear friends at their Passover celebrations numerous times. Due to the fact that their family is now scattered throughout the country, we have offered our home as a place for them to celebrate this year's Passover.
I normally have no problem with this; we've done it before. It's only because of the requirement to shift the time so that all may attend puts it on Good Friday. For some reason, celebrating on the day the Lord was put to death just doesn't feel quite right. However, I thought perhaps if we could include a prayer for Jesus in the Seder that we could all sup together with peace in our hearts.
My friends are happy to oblige. Now I just have to come up with a good prayer. Can anyone suggest one? I would like to be sensitive to their Judaic beliefs, but I'm afraid I'm a bit ignorant about them.
Thanks and peace!
