Full Version: Why Do We Post 'Believe' Posts in 'DON't Believe'?

I get tired of seeing believers post "Why I Believe in Y'shua" subjects in "Why I DON't Believe In Y'shua." Leave the "DON'T Believe" posts for people like shlomo, Sheitl Queen, and Chaim ben Yaakov. I sometimes get confused with who believes and who doesn't.

If you are getting confused, it may be more a matter of being able to comprehend what is being written by the given person.  This is an ongoing process and takes time, so be patient with yourself and the poster too.

Do more investigating about what the person is claiming, to make sure they are saying what you think they are saying.

Finally, I would suggest that you attack the issue, not the person.  Sometimes I veer from that way of discussing, and the spotlight gets taken off the Lord Jesus and onto whatever.  The temptation is strong to do that.

I hope this is encouraging to you, so that you won't worry about something you cannot control and don't resort to complaining.

But why would a believer start a, not just respond to another, thread in the non-believer's forum. Why start a belief argument in a non-believer's forum?

Excellent advice!
Perhaps the use of distinct icons, as I see used on
other forums, would help alleviate any confusion....

But they put what each of the forums are for with the titles. So, why keep putting faith posts in non-faithful forums? Responses are one thing, but threads are another.

Don't know...maybe as a form of ministry? Thinking that non-believers
are more likely to read that thread than others? Or simply a mistake?

Maybe. But I should figure you all would like to explore why we believe, not us come into your forum and say "You don't believe, but here's why we do believe." Isn't each forum assigned for a reason?
Until someone spends enough time in the forum and reading the individual post of various members you really don't quite know where someone is at... It takes time...
It is especially confusing to a newcomer trying to get used to where you are supposed to post and how..Add to that who is Jew and who is not or who is Christian and who is not and so on, who is trinitarian etc..lol
It takes time and patience and comes with getting to know the individual members and their posts and getting to know the character of the the forum itself..I think the key word is PATIENCE...

God's Blessing   Smile
I think I can understand what  GoyOfY'shua is saying. I am the Super Moderator of a Christian Forum. Not only can it be difficult and confusiing by not knowing who is and who is not a believer; there is worse - it can allow the 'wolf into the sheep fold'" in my opinion.

You could try clicking on the author's name and sending a politely worded Private Message.  I have had my questions answered very nicely in that way.

Also, I did a most-recent search of the subjects under [DON'T Believe] and don't see which one you may be referring to.  This is another thing that would be more helpful in solving a question - have the name of the thread or the quote at hand.

Most are here to promote their faith, or at the very least their point of view on the faith.  I think most would be willing to answer a question.  If I'm wrong on that, let the reluctant let me know and I will stand corrected.
