The problem is that Jesus didn't fulfill any of the ACTUAL Messianic prophecies.  And to say that he will when he comes again is not bibical.  No where in the Tanakh does it say that the Messiah will die and then come back a second time to fulfill the prophecies.  It was supposed to be a one shot deal.

Have you read Genesis 1-3, Deuteronomy 18:15, Daniel 7-9, Isaiah 7:14 and 53?

Interesting goy! Perhaps you would be so kind as to show me where the Term "HaMoshiach(The Messiah)" Appears in you citations? I await your citation of where this word appears.

Seek understanding and not the letter.

Ok Menachem perhaps you could give us an education and begin to quote from the Torah to the Prophets about the Jewish Messiah and please don't say there is no Mashiach in the scriptures for He is deeply ingrained in our hopes, dreams and tradition and it would be very anti Jewish to reject this.

Once we establish which scriptures you affirm as messianic and we have a common ground for discussion we will then discuss who the Mashiach is according to the scriptures sited and others that we may find relevant and complimentary to the discussion..

The more comprehensive the list the better. Many thanks.

Also please understand that a baby needs to crawl before it can run so the development of the Messiah the son of Man concept would be much appreciated as opposed to you simply claiming a Messiah in final victory without addressing the birth and foundations of how we are to recognize Him. Maybe we could really start with Genesis?

Wow! lets play the bait and switch game. I ask a question and then you turn it into something else which does not answer my original question. Prowler It sounds to me like you either cannot answer my question or do not want to due to you theological bias.

I love it how you say this and yet can not even in the simplest fashion show me where the term "HaMashiach(the messiah)" appears in the texts cited. I will await an answer to the question I asked.

You cant even answer a simple question like mine and you want a comprehensive answer to yours? I am amazed you have the Chutzpah to ask for that in light of your refusal to answer my question. Perhaps you will get an answer once you answer mine.

This forum is an answer of my prayer to learn about who the Messiah is. Please pray that I will be able to go forward

Hi Eagle....a simple question.

The concept of moshiach arose with the Tanach, and with
Judaism.  Therefore, why would you ask Christians who
and what the moshiach will be, rather than Jews?

I am very curious.....

lets not forget the NT was written by jews and The Way before it became knowed as Christianity was consider a branch of Judaism before 70 ad.

after that Judaism split in basic two groups.

believers in jesus and ones that do not Believe.

Paul, John, and Peter worked miracles by the prophecy of Christ, that He would pray the Father to send the comforter.

Greater works shall you do.

I am implying, we are part of His body, and we have the mind of Christ.

Y'shua's fulfillment of this prophecy is the type and shadow in the New Testament of the full restoration of the Body of Christ, (Christ's bodily resurrection) 3 fold. Daniel's Prophecy, Christ's fulfillment of it,
Our resurrection Bodies, His restored Temple. This does not altogether exclude the 3rd temple, yet as far as geography is concerned the true temple is in the heavens.

In three days...
Y'shua the light of the world, as the great light in day four of creation , was born 4000 yrs. after  mankind was brought under the law of sin and death. Martha told Y'shua of Lazarus death and 4 days later (the messengers trip to Jesus and Martha beyond Jordan (1 day) Jesus waiting for (2 days) and Jesus trip to Bethany (1 day), Y'shua raised him from death, and loosed him in type forever from the law of sin and death by the law of the spirit of life in Him, the Christ.

Isa.26
[19] Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Pss.90
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

After three days...

Micah 5 ;2& 3. I know! an event that has already happened?Like Zechariah 11-12;13,14;3, Jeremiah 31;15'16, Psalm 22 Isaiah 65,  Malachi 1,2,3;4;2 . The veil is rent? The covenant unfinished? For all shall know him? Can you say G-d came only once?
For those who enjoy the transformation that the Word of God brings and the renewing of your mind, try this on for size:

John.5
[19] Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

I had wondered how God had communicated through himself as his Son as to His perfect will concerning the cross (Isaiah 53), and He brought this scripture to mind.

If you can begin to fathom what Christ actually said here by His Holy Spirit, you begin to see that God through the love of Y'shua is just beginning to prepare hearts for His Glory and Blessings.
