Greetings from South Africa!
I am eager to learn as much as I can about Jewish Feast Days and Festivals. Pesach or Passover is just around the corner - Jesus had what is refered to as "The Last Supper" at thsi time.
My wife and I are gentile believers and we head what is refered to in our country as a "Home Cell' We are one of 44 groups attached to our church that meet in our homes to share the gospel, support, encourage, edify, uplift, love and pray for our members. We currently have 14 members in our Home Cell.
We are curious about everything that happens at a Feast Day.
What is Purim all about? And Shavuot? What about Erv Yom Kippur and Yom Kippur or Simchas?
You may ask WHY?
We want to become involved.

To begin, Passover/Pesach is the Jewish New Year and anniversary of when Moses/Moshe led the people of Israel/adom Yisra'el out of Egypt. Moshe was commanded by YHWH to have adom Yisra'el per family take a lamb, kill it, and put its blood on their doorposts so that the Angel of Death would pass over them. This represented the murdered Lamb who was to come later, knock on the door of our hearts, and bring salvation, being called the Pesach.
D, Everything you want is online. Go googles and type "Messianic feast days. I'm a gentile studying this for 2 decades and still I am enriched by them. Make the effort. It will prove to be a blessing.
There are 7 commanded feasts all pointing to the ministry of Christ. I would suggest dividing them into spring feasts and fall feasts bearing in mind that the types were given as a picture language to depict Messiahs death, burial, ressurection as well as His millenial reign in Jerusalem as the victorious King. Passover is a good place to start. Do a follow up with shavuot/pentacost.
Thank you. This, I already know. Can anyone please give me details of what happens on the FEAST days - what food is prepared - what happens during the meal (if there is one). We want to re-enact what our Jewish brothers in Christ do on Feast Days - it will give us a deeper understanding of the significance of the Feast Days

Take Joshua's advice.
It is important as my father said to get the big picture of the Jewish feast days (7) (*8) days a week. Seeing Messiah not yet revealed in the flesh is like the prayer after the partaking of these humble, thankful gracious celebrations not only of harvest, dedication and significance but each and every blessing counted clean and of value.
