Praise the Lord everyone!!!
Let me first start out by saying that I had the honor of hearing Rick Robinson speak a couple of years ago here in Illinois. I am a african american christian woman and more importantly called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Earlier today my boss asked how my easter went and I told him it was good and that the kids did an egg hunt and that i had a good resurrection sunday. He asked me what resurrection sunday was. I told him that Good Friday was the day we celebrated Jesus dieing and Sunday we celebrate his resurrection. He very candidly said "I dont believe, Jews dont believe in Jesus". I said to him that I thought some Jews did and he told me that those that do they dont consider them Jews. I was floored.
I guess I always knew that but to know that I am working for someone like that is amazing to me. He isnt the nicest man and has been down right mean to me. He tries to belittle me and is now trying to get me fired. I just wanted to know if there was any information that anyone had with this being a site for those who are Jewish but do believe in Jesus. I am very much interested in learning about the Jewish beliefs. I asked my boss what did he believe about good friday and he said it was just friday and then he said (excuse me if I say it wrong) it was just shabat just like this friday is going to be. About a year ago I told him that he looked a bit tired and if he was feeling well and he told me it was rude in his culture to tell someone they looked tired. I am interested in learning more about the Jewish culture but feel if I say something to him it may come out wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
