In studing the Scripture there are so many biblical accounts as well as what we see today regarding the End Times....
People say *Oh everyone has been saying it is The End since Jesus left earth.. But in reading Daniels' 70 weeks, the Parable of the Fig Tree..
Israel coming to her own in 1948..What are your thoughts?
Matthew 24:32-33

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. (KJV)

Jesus tells His disciples a parable of how they can discern when the Lord’s second coming will be. He said that when the trees (Luke 21:29), bring forth leaves we know that summer is near. In like manner when we see all the things spoken of in this chapter coming to pass, we know that His coming is at hand.
Matthew 24:5-8 gives us some important clues so we can discern the approach of the end times, “For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters – these items are “signs” of the end times. Even in this passage, though, we are given a warning. We are not to be deceived (Matthew 24:4), because these events are only the beginning of birth pains (Matthew 24:8), the end is still to come (Matthew 24:6).

I turned 58 years old Monday the 9th. For me an average american life will end in about 20 years. Perhaps, though I pray not, it will end tomorrow if a car leaves the roadway and runs me over. Life is in God's hands and we all need to be prepared to stand before Him at any moment. Through faith by His grace I am ready. I have what some of my friends think is a to avid interest in the persecuted church. My reason? That if persecution comes to my person I may endure. The inevitable signs and fulfillments of all prophecies are inevitable. Nothing will stop their arrival. To those who will love His appearing they will be always a  cause for joy.
one thing is This is just the Beginning of the birth pains.   It can be 1 year 2 100 years no one knows until Jesus come back. All I know is the world has to come yet worse before Jesus comes back at least that how scripture puts it
Take note every generation thought Jesus would come back in their time because they had the belief look at all these wars and killing surely he coming back in my time!
Jesus told his brothers before he went to Jerusalem for Succot that thier time is always ready, but his was not yet.

"Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready." John 7:6

We are NOT promised our next breath, be ready with your shoes on.

"And thus shall ye eat it; [with] your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it [is] the LORD'S passover." Exodus 12:11

Be ready and travel light.

Shalom,
Christopher
There is a dichotomy in that I would love for Christ to call His people to Himself today via the Rapture but at the same time I greatly desire others who are not saved yet to know the love of our Lord and be saved.

So which is better to pray for Christ's return now or to pray that He delays so that more may be saved?  Thankfully that is something that our Lord knows and His selection of the time and place of His return will be perfect.
The generation that see Israel become a nation shall not pass away before the return of Jesus.  Our grandfathers and parents both saw the birth of Israel in 1948.  They are the last generation...in our parents lifetimes the end of all things will come.  We have to be ready every moment for the sound of the trumpet that will call His bride to join him in the clouds for the marriage supper of the lamb.  May we alll be ready.

I show you a mystery we will not all sleep but in twinkling of an eye we will be caught up to be evermore with the Lord
The Bible states Jesus will come when the Gospel is preached to the entire world. Go to Revelation the 3 angels message...
The bible states that Jesus will come when the Gospel is preached to the entire world. It says in revelation that every nation, tribe and tongue will hear the gospel.
Even though after 1948 with the creation of the state of Israel Christians expected the Lord to return any minute, there had to be more unfolding of events.  I think though we are correct to say we are the last generation (since 1948), but I can see how more must unfold, but at least it's a rapid unfolding (as Jesus said, surely I come quickly).

Some mornings (and evenings) I find my thoughts going to this hymn.  It is a happy anticipation, whatever our lot in this life, and whether we must go on before.
