cor517, The post-modern mantra of "judge not lest ye be judged" does not deter the person who has trusted Christ from exercising discernment of truth, such as doctrine, theology, et al. I think it is appropriate that God's people exercise discernment, and that means judging. (But we can miss by attempting to judge motives; I've done that, we should back off of that.) Any statement, claim, or exhortation ought to be judged in light of scripture, and differing interpretations ought to be countered with more than just threats or derision.
Now, at the risk of "judging a motive," GOY's questions here struck me as basic curiosity. I guess that as we age, we just know so much more and don't need to ask any more questions, right? When Jesus corrected His disciples for the wrong attitude in asking for places of honor in the Kingdom, it nevertheless pleased God that the disciples do have quite a place of honor in the Kingdom. So, how can you be upset that GOY is asking about status at JFJ, which looks forward to the Kingdom? Are you afraid GOY is going to get ahead of you?
All you wise sages, you can just stop the "17-year-old GOY"-bashing now. The "youth" criticism is old. Aren't your tough old spiritual hides able to take a few punches, a little scratching at your consciences?
Still, I wonder who those Privileged Members are...do they get free donuts on Friday?
BAPTISTIC:
AS I AM IN THE WORLD SO ARE YE I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD SO GET OFF YOUR KICKSTAND BOY>
1st or 2nd Timothy 3:16:
Without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness, God manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, preached among the gentiles, seen of angels, and recieved up into glory. Jesus is love. (How do you expense (dispense) love to EVERYONE all at once). A Rock n' Roll song? Baptistic and GOY I am reading through the bible the second time, I am in Nehemiah chptr. 2- Where are you?
I would sincerly like to delete a few of my posts, I cannot seem to accomplish this w/o a moderator's approval or reactivation code. I may have gotten a little bit personal and would like to correct some hasty replies.
- What's the difference between a Senior and Privileged Member, and what is the highest member category or group?
- What are the colors for ratings of a member?
- Why aren't more threads "Important Threads"?
New question: Did Dean get the red reputation for being a liberal Democrat?

I have learned that function of Editing is not for most of the posters here. I think it is just for those who either help with the forums, or have some sort of administrative duties at JFJ. I think the intent is to address in the most positive way any temptation by posters to delete their posts thereby disrupting the forums to a greater degree than when they just post something that is disagreeable. I guess just saying whatever apology you would like to make is good enough for most. I have had to do that a couple times myself.

Well, now, technically, if someone is going to be labeled a liberal Democrat, their color would have to be Blue. You know: Red states = Republican, Blue states = Democrat. Green Party is Green, so if this forum accommodates a political discussion, this is really going to confuse outsiders as to what Green really means. Let's keep it simple here for the folks like me - !
Goy,
I am torn between coming and going and questions. I want to be a senior member. Seems I've painted myself into a corner. My termination should be a raw topic to discuss without some serious reconsideration.
Baptistic,
You are somewhat of a lifesaver, Jees, if I built you up too much it would all boil down to the blue five-star generals (if there is such a thing).
Now Dean is really getting emotional (no pun intended).

A blue state red in the face due to a little traffic.
<(((((((<
I want to put this in writing, By 2012, the average democratic parent will have 3+ children of voting age. I am not just flippantly addressing Goy. Where does that leave River Bottom Ministries? Just throwing out random facts about the crucial vote of each state is like winner take all for the electorate. With the present system (according to Wallace Stevens, James Mitchener), Tenessee is going to be one state where the democratic presence is really going to be felt. Maybe Michael Moore will have a genuine reason for documentaries.

mmmmmm .... Krispy Kreme.

Point taken, but doesn't red mean bad and green mean good on this forum? (That's a hint to Hilary Clinton, who has a lot of red letters on her record.)

Butn why can't we edit or own posts or get our reputations back up from red to green if we're really not doing anything bad? And why have some heretics (sorry, dwain) who are anti-Trinitarian kept a grey reputation?
