Why do some people register, post for a while or only post one post, then come back either a time from now or when we don't even know who they are anymore?

Top Ten Reasons for not coming back (for now):
10. was having a personal crisis and hoping for a sympathetic ear
9. didn’t know $$$ reference books were required
8. gotta get back to work
7. already on 16 other forums
6. kids won’t stop fighting
5. need more than 2 hours sleep
4. he/she will divorce me if I don’t shut off that computer
3. thought this was Jews for Jesus
2. can’t remember what/where last posted

There may be a multitude of reasons of why people
don't post/don't come back/come back after a long time.
Could be that they decided a forum is not for them once
they investigated further.
They may forum hop so much that they forget which
forums they have been to (many require that you register
just to look at the forums, so they may have registered
for that reason).
They may have limited time that they have for being on
line and certain forums may not be their top priority.
Could be busy with work, family, school, computer
problems, health issues....I am sure each person has
their own individual reason....
