The unwanted, unloved, abandoned 3 year old Girl

Psalm 8:2: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

Matthew 21:16: And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

I am writing this TRUE story because last Sunday evening (3 June 2007) God wonderfully answered prayer and I am SO EXICITED ABOUT WHAT GOD CAN DO AND WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO

Rajeet is a young Hindu who I met when he was 18 years old (He is now 25). He is a very close friend to me. Rajeet and his family are of the Hindu ’Untouchables’ caste.; Dalit; a poluted ‘unseeable labourer’. In his miserable state, devoid of human dignity, he had attempted to kill himself because, in addition to his miserable state of ’Dalit’, he (and his brother and mother) had suffered daily from abject physical abuse from an evil alcoholic father and continuous sexual abuse from another Hindu man of a higher ’caste’. Rajeet came to faith in Jesus at 19 years of age but found it difficult to make a break from some of his Hinduism and as a result underwent an arranged marriage with a girl living in India who he had never met (as is the Hindu custom) when he was almost 20.

In April 2005 his wife deserted him when she was about 5 months pregnant. His search to find her proved fruitless. In August 2005 he received a message from his wife that she had given birth to a daughter who she named Jessica (not a Hindu name). He heard nothing for a over 12 months when he was informed the girl was not wanted and would be abandoned on the streets somewhere in India. Baby girls, especially first-born girls are not wanted and it is very common for them to be abandoned on the streets of the big Indian cities.

In spite of this terrible stuff going on in his life Rajeet walked strongly in his faith in Jesus until the beginning part of this year when he fell from faith; deserted God, Church , convinced God had done all this bad stuff in his life.

I was in Church at 6pm last Sunday evening; the service had just started and Rajeet walked into church and threw his arms around me; he sat beside me and we worshiped God together. After the service he invited me to his home; who should be there but his little daughter Jessica - she had been there for six weeks and this is what Rajeet and his Hindu mother told me.

Rajeets ex-wife (he is now divorced from her) had in fact abandoned the girl in an Indian village with some distant relative for a year. They had come to England to return the child, who on return wanted to know her Daddy - she is now 3 years old (4 in August). Six weeks ago she met her Daddy at his home and the home also of his mother; the child had been deeply hurt by her mother who had abandoned her and wanted to remain with her Daddy and her Grandmother. Rajeets mother, who herself has suffered cruelty has accepted the child with great love and empathy. However, much to their amazement this little 3 years old girl, for some reason they cannot understand (and we have not been able to ascertain) KNOWS JESUS.

During the six weeks with her Daddy and Hindu Grandmother she has literally given them no peace - insisting she wants them to take her to ‘where Jesus is’. She is speaking about Jesus and how much she loves Him and how He has taken care of her and loved her - constantly.

She will be coming to Church next Sunday morning with her Daddy and Hindu Grandmother and she is showing so much excitement about it - it is blowing my mind.

God moves in a mysterious way, His Wonders to perform.

David
That is an amazing story
Praise God! it' s good when he manifests himself to us isn't it?
And nobody responded to this back in June 2007, so I wonder what happened next.
That's an amazing story. It is the GOD's way of letting us know that HE is always there with us to help us out of any problem. GOD always replies to the prayers and if the prayers are purely from the deepest of the heart, the prayers are answered at the earliest. GOD will test us but will finally help us out of any disaster. Praise the Lord!!
