Dayenu

The sparrows flourish on the crumbs
Cast from our table to the wind.
Even so, let me not take for granted
Your smallest of favors
Cast in grace in my direction.
May I remember to be content
And not expect the whole loaf
When what Your hand provides is enough, and
What I need the most is Thee.

Rebirth

We were small in the earth
the womb
a thought enough from G-d
to bring forth

we are small in the world
ever knowing G-d loves us
living and dying for us
making us of noble stature

so many of us
we are his image bearers
placed skillfully in His kingdom
terrestial stars of His design

If I should wander Lord,
Help me.
if I should stand alone
Cause me to know I am not

For Christ Himself
His glory consuming
His gathering of us
excelling beyond our thought
of what we could ever be

Blessings escape me

Ahhh, Like forgetting what day it is
finding out it doesn't matter yet,

praying for a wife and getting a friend,

risking a kind word knowing that is
expected from you.

feeling good after you
revelled in your
poor circumstance
and the pity you deserve

a long distant and absent friend
who can hold no grudge from
the past

being satisfied
caught up
in the thought of G-d

Symbol

folded hands are praying
Lord I see your cross
repentant lips now saying
in love there is no loss

lifted high above the earth
forgiveness you have shown
your glory raised above the dearth
never to be found alone

we joy to fight this good good fight
in the brightness of your day
and worship thee before the night
to tread the straight and narrow way

with you dear Lord
our souls complete
rugged treasure
and so sweet

the cross our symbol
each one shall bare
for in this rest
we find you there.
Hi chow_woman

Do you have a chow_chow? Neat dogs if you do and neat even if u do not. I haven't read your poem because officially I am not really posting yet (moderators are checking out my other post I posted--I'm newSmile ). I just ask God to give me a clean heart while I am here and this is all I need.

This is my official poem for this forum

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Roses have thorns
Violets are true

Blood you may draw
From the thorns of the rose
From vilotes there are memories
Take this risk and you will see

That Christ died for you and for me.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I love Jesus
So do you.

Peace B with U

Dear Chow_Woman a wroe the below  post last night. I read yur poem when I came back this mornig. It is so beautiful. I agree, let us be content with just the bread because it is all that we need in this world. Maybe water would also be good to go with that bread? Smile God speed you.   SIG

Yes it works.

Loved your poetry thread but unfortunately there is church tomorrow morning. I really would have liked to read your poem but my eyes are drooping. I promise to read it tomorrow. This is a big forum to me and The real truth is I can't find your thread but I will. Just wanted you to know in case you read what I wrote on your thread.

Here I am without a prayer,
Without the words to say it.
But the smile upon my lips,
Will someday soon betray it.

Good evening Chow,

All things work for the good of those who love God and are are called to His purpose. (I think)
Sadness fills my eyes
I lift my head to cry
Tears fall on silent ground
When silnce is the only sound
My heart will answer

When all has failed
and deep auburn light pale
My trust finds it's way to you

work in progress....

I find myself alone
Forsaken in despair

When all has failed
and deep auburn light pale
My trust finds it's way to you
My only affection
Is for my destiny
