Hi all,
I have a question that I hope someone can answer.
My father was Jewish and mother Methodist. Brought up in a family where religion was not important. Became a Christian in adult life. I know nothing about Judaism(or Hebrew/Yiddish) as it was not discussed in the family. Feel that I am 'missing' a vital link in my life and want to learn about the practices, beliefs about Judaism to get a balance in my life.
Any suggestions and how have others tackled this?
Many thanks
There are many places to learn about Judaism....
Synagogues, the Old Testament,Talmud and there are language courses on the internet or again at the synagogues.

Are you asking about Messianic beliefs, or non-Messianic Jewish
beliefs?
If non-messianic, I would suggest Chabad or www.aish.com
Perhaps someone else can help you with suggestions for the
messianic side of things if that is what you are looking for...
Hi Esther. You really should hook up with a Messianic congregation as the Judaism they follow is Mosaic Judaism. The Judaism out there today is Rabbinic/ Tulmudic Judiasm which is NOT of Moses. True Judaism is Mosaic which develops into Messianic  - of which Jews for Jesus is true.

Be very careful....Rabbinic Judaism will cause you to stumble as it appears all Holy and good but is way far gone from God. They think hard study and works gets them closer to God - big mistake.

Many thanks for your thoughtful replies. I will follow up on your suggestions.
