3 false predictions made by Jesus
1. Jesus falsely predicted that events of the Second Coming would occur in his audience's lifetime.
2. Jesus false predicted that he would be in the earth 3 nights (not 2).
3. Jesus falsely predicted that every stone of the Temple would fall, yet today we have the Western Wall.

RE: 3 false accusations by anti-missionary
Shmelke,
1. Jesus predicted the Second Coming would occur...when?
Matthew 24:14
"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
The gospel was not preached in every nation as yet.
Earlier in the same chapter we read another condition:
"For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."
How many Jesus or prophets calling themselves Christ have yet come, and deceived the world to think they are Christ come again? This is yet to be fulfilled.
As a matter of fact...the majority of this chapter deals with the 144,000 Israeli men who are virgins who will evangelize the world for Jesus in every nation on Earth. This prophecy is yet to come. It cannot be discounted because Christianity has never ceased to exist.
2. Jesus specifically said He would be in the Earth 3 days and 3 nights. He said that..."An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:39-40).
I have conclusively dealt with this issue of 3 entire days and 3 entire nights on at least two occasions @JFJ forums. Jesus said that there are 12 hours in a day in John, in regards to daylight. Hence three 12 hour days and three 12 hour nights, or three 24 hour days ( a minimum of 72 hours). Any other defense that declares less than this minimum seeks to affirm Roman Catholicism over Christianity, even if inadvertantly.
There is never a contradiction by any Jewish Targum or Oral Teaching of the Resurrection fact in the first centuries A.D. Why?
Because Jesus / Yeshua fulfilled the sign of Jonah, literally, and they were in shame and denial about it.
Had there ever been a contradiction, that tradition and argument would have survived in Judaism somewhere in the world...be it in manuscript, oral tradition, argument usage as a defense against Christianity, etc. Judaism has NOT ONE SHRED of such a oral tradition, teaching, argument, or defense against Christianity. Rabbinic Judaism is as if caught with their pants down for embarassment to public ridicule regarding this.
3. As stated on a prior argument thread about the Temple Mount...the buildings... and not the Western or southern or eastern walls ... were cited in the prophecy.
The disciples boasted to Jesus about the particular buildings present in A.D. 30. Take a look at the Mount...they are all gone.
The foundation of the Dome of the Rock isn't an untouched original foundation from the Herodian / Jewish Temple...it is a reconstituted foundation from that which was dedicated to Jupiter built in the 130s A.D. Further archaeological examination of that Foundation will confirm this, if the Muslims ever get out of the way.
The Temple Mount is clearly Jewish archaelogically, and evidence in the trash heaps from the Mount support this fact without dispute. The Muslims are trespassing and should be cast out by what ever means or force neccessary, and the Mount given to the newly constituted Sanhedrin, even if it means going to war to do it.
In order to have a Jewish Temple, Jews must live in Israel, there must be a nation called Israel, there must be a Sanhedrin, etc. Israel had ceased to exist for some 1800 plus years, and the Sanhedrin for some 1500 years. All of this that is coming about to bring a Temple for Israel to the Temple Mount is either fulfilled or a work in progress, in being fulfilled.
That being the case, the prophecies of Jesus -- like the prophecies of Tanach predicting another "Jewish" Temple of Israel on the Mount -- are still in play as either "fulfilled" and as a work "in progress", in being fulfilled.
Once again, you stand corrected.

RE: 3 false predictions made by Jesus
1. Jesus falsely predicted that events of the Second Coming would occur in his audience's lifetime.
Yet, they have eternal life; and the audience continues today.
2. Jesus false predicted that he would be in the earth 3 nights (not 2).
Show me that in Scripture; and I'll show you otherwise, where the third day is when Y'shua HaNotzri would rise, not be still asleep.
3. Jesus falsely predicted that every stone of the Temple would fall, yet today we have the Western Wall.
Please read Matthew 24 in context from 70 A.D. until the end of time.
I only use the NKJV and the Complete Jewish Bible versions unless I can't find or don't have them.

The Western Wall is the Western Wall.
So what are you saying shmelke, that Y'shua rose from the grave too soon? He told people not to touch Him. That is an indication that He was not fully raised because He had not yet ascended.
To see the Son of Man coming and to see Him come are two different things. We too can see Him coming.
Shalom in knowing there is a reason for everything!
Remember love, remember shalom, and remember to prophesy.

RE: 3 false predictions made by Jesus
Here is my reply:
1. What is your Scriptural basis for this?
2. When you are buried just like what Melekh Dawid said, "there will be no day in the grave" So litterally he was three nights "in" the earth equivalent to 3 days "on" the earth.
3. Did the Emperor of Rome really leave the western wall when he sacked Yerusalaim? Do you think the "western wall" is the real wall of the Temple. The Emperor of Rome did not leave any building or structure standing when he wrought the whole city of Yerusalaim. Go smhelke check this out and argue with Josephus if you can...http://www.biblemysteries.com/lectures/builtwailingwall.htm
Half of the worlds misery is due to people who want to be important.

RE: 3 false predictions made by Jesus
1. Jesus falsely predicted that events of the Second Coming would occur in his audience's lifetime.
It did for those who saw Him..He died and rose again that would constitute a second coming to them....but He will be back any day now in power and majesty.
2. Jesus false predicted that he would be in the earth 3 nights (not 2).
First off the friday crucifiction is RC doctrine..He wasn't crucified on Friday since at that time Passover wasn't on Friday.
It was on Wednesday...Sundown Wednesday to Sundown Thursday=1day
Sundown Thursday to Sundown Friday=2 days
Sundown Friday to Sundown Saturday=3 days
Since the sabbath is from sundown Friday to Sundown Saturday. The NT which you seem to believe when it suits you says that the women came when the Sabbath had passed.
So the prediction was TRUE
3. Jesus falsely predicted that every stone of the Temple would fall, yet today we have the Western Wall.
Prediction is true...tradition says that the Western wall was part of the last temple...doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't part of an earlier temple
Act 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
